Hi Pierre,

I haven't seen anything on item recurrence in the roadmap. This is a very important feature to be able to manage tasks (or other... Recurring items!) effectively. I'd say it's probably the only one IQ misses right now to be a real task manager.

Thanks !

[Edit : I've been expecting this one for a long time -- I was even planing to write my own script with popups etc. But thought I should wait]

The issue is not forgotten, don't worry.

Could minor improvements to the calendar suit you in the meantime, I was thinking of:
  1. Show the item in the Calendar
  2. Set its recurrence
  3. Add an option to convert a recurring event to be a separate item (new)
Adding step 3 is rather trivial...

Item recurrence and advanced alarms are near the top of the list.

Thanks.

Yes, I guess I could use the calendar purely to set recurrences. But the recurring items would have to be completely free from the calendar, as I don't/can't use the calendar [for planning anything]... I'd really like to, but I won't until June 30th, when I can sync it with something else.

Thanks again.

optional explanation :

I do live without syncing tasks and projects info. But not syncing calendar events isn't possible at the moment -- too dangerous for me : when "on the road", way too easy to forget to write back something "job related" that's been written on a piece of paper... Been there, done that : VERY dangerous practice! To me, tasks are not as rigidly time-bound, but events/appointments are, and forgetting an event/appointment can have catastrophic concequences...
