3 methods:
  1. Apply a column filter or any other filter (source, filter, alphafilter, datefilter) to the grid and do file>print preview
  2. Tag the items you want printed, add the field ItemsTagged to the grid and apply a column filter on that column
  3. Select the items and do an HTML export (in settings mode). This is the only method if you want to print the HTML pane content. The printout is however not exactly WYSIWYG

There is now a 4th method if the items / columns you want fit in 1 page, you can:
  1. Do a WYSIWYG grid print
  2. Right-click and drag to select the area to print
  3. Print. Only the selected area will print

I'd say that there's even a 5th method :

5-Just hoist (right click : "Hoist selected items") your selected items, etc.

I've revisited this issue by necessity & still don't consider it solved.

Select TLI
Click preview
Select 2nd option from improved pop up dialog: "What do you want to print?"
Click 'preview & save'
Result: only TLI is previewed w NO columns & no HTML content even if option is selected in 2nd dialog

Also whatever printing options are available should be available via context menu IMHO.

I did not test after:
Refreshing
Jumping to other tabs & back
Closing & restarting program

I don't know exactly how differently you did it, but... I can't reproduce what you got. I followed exactly all your steps.
See screencast.

I just opened my Mantis DB, selected items, etc.
I haven't refreshed, changed tabs, etc.

I'm not questioning the fact that something isn't working properly. Only that I can't reproduce it.
Maybe some settings aren't configured properly in the HTML export dialog ?

Hi Jan, Thanks for the screencast.
The problem is simply that you selected only one column (the item column). Hence, only one column is exported. As for the HTML pane's content, I can't tell as I don't know if there's any in your example.

True enough Armando; thanks for catching that
I had Grid > Select Mode > Multi-Columns which may be a little misleading. In fact, at this point, I don't understand what it means intuitively. I assumed (wrongly) that user selects TLI & any other function, ex: preview would pick up other columns, i.e. Setting was just for display. I guess not.

I see.
I'm not good enough in English to find the right word that would replace multi-columns (independent columns?). And maybe is that the default wording in other apps -- I don't know/remember.
