I am trying to delete an item that came preloaded with IQ named "Web site" at which point IQ pops up a message that says "Item is locked, unlock it first".  I searched through the menus as well as this website and cannot find any reference to locking or unlocking items.  Also, it sure would be nice if there was a search box on the User Manual section (http://www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php?q=booktree), preferrably one that searches only the user manual instead of the entire site.  Also, what is up with the super weird forum reply box where I cannot do normal copying and pasting or spell checking etc.?  It's a bit frustrating.

Thanks

Thanks Keith, I think I searched on the term "lock" instead of "locked".

I just noticed that there is an "advanced search" option, in which you can limit the searches to just books.  It's over to the right. I put in locked, and checked books only, and what comes up is manageable. That's going to be useful.

You may want to try fuzzy search too. I did a fuzzy search for "lock" and the correct book page came up as the first result

how to get fuzzy Pierre ?!?
is it "containing any of the words" (using which works with the "Lock" example anyway)

--------------------------------

This module provides drupal sites with a fuzzy search engine to allow for broader keyword matches.

Features:

  • Mispellings and typos still provide relevant results.
  • External scoring factor hooks exposed so contrib modules can give administrators options for scoring.
  • Improved search performance over search.module because there are no temporary tables created during search.

sounding a bit pedantic:

but how do we use fuzzy search? (or is it automatically used?)

Fuzzy search is shown on the main page and as a sub-menu of the Search (left sidebar)

I see it on main page - by sub-menu I presume you mean "Advanced Search" I dont see it there?

Any chance you could add it (similar to main page) to the side here, or somewhere on these forum/books page(s) ?
Maybe

it is a very important factor after all (it saves everyone time if it's easy to access and use)
