Hello all!

I'd first like to wish you all an excellent new year. Let us hope that 2009 will be a great year. It will definitely be the year of rel. 1.0 of InfoQube.

In this minor release, the following fixes:
  • Calendar printing
  • Attempt to fix the IE error on program close
  • Context menu on Available field
  • Added Shift-click in HTML pane: In edit mode, will open the default browser with the link URL
  • "reset toolbar" on the date filter toolbar, it blanks out the first dropdown
  • Grid > autoassign the following fields was broken
  • Enter creates a new item even when the item is selected (row selected). Same for CTRL-Enter
n.b. the last 2 items have been added (2009-01-06). Users can download it again to get those fixes

What a great and growing list of improvements. Good work Pierre!

I notice it is the "portable" version.  What's the difference?  I don't care about carrying it on a USB stick and have been installing the "Installer" version, but would like some of the fixes in this release.  Do I install portable or wait for you to update the installer file?

I'll try to update the installer today.

There is no difference between the two flavors, in terms of the feature set. To use the portable version, you simply copy the zip content to any folder and voilà! Most users have been using the portable version as it gets updated more often (less overhead for me)

the installer version hasnt been updated in ages so you get loads of fixes/improvements in portable version :-)

One drawback (only one I know) of the portable version is you cant create normal file association but I usually have open with last opened file option selected.
"Open with" on Explorer context menu will work but not if you try to make it "always open with"

Really? Is this true? What covers "normal" fire association?

if I try double click a .sndb file I get the error message:-
---------------------------
.....\MyFile.SNDB is not a valid Win32 application.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

If I try via the context menu/open with/choose program to add IQ with "always open with this programme" selected, I get the same error

So the only way I can open a file is via context menu/open with - as long as I dont tick "always open with this programme"
or
directly from IQ

Dont know is everyone affected by this

Can I use relative file location on the portable application. I know there was a thread about this last month (?), but I am not really sure now. That would be fine for me as I replicate HD structure where I am so I can synch the files later. Also, for most of my data, I use a backup drive. I rarely keep my data file on my actual machine.
