Could Link to web page create a link to url in item field ?

this may have been suggested already - apologies if so -
cant think of any reason against it but maybe others can?

can add to mantis if it suits

I may be too tired (5 hrs of back-country skiing in a spring-like sunny day can do weird tricks on you)...

but I don't quite grasp what you'd like

ahh, HYPERlink is the term (I forgot) - it could well be on the list alread

like when I drag a file into IQ - a link is created in the item field with the name of the file as the visible text

Manually creating hyperlink:
Format of a link is Link Text where xxx can be:
4- a Web or email address

and "Link Text" would be the webpage title

EDIT/ to clarify I mean when saving web-link when using IQ extension in FF

Got it now. Instead of having the link in the URL field, you'd like it in the item. Is that correct? If so, this is a good suggestion. An option in the clipper could be added

Keep in mind, that you could setup an auto-assign rule to do this currently. For the URL field, in auto-assign, add:
A: Item=AddKeyword( Item , URL )

and that it would show title as text
e.g this webpage title is
Could Link to web page create a link to url in item field ?

so Item field (in edit mode) would show
<a href=http://www.sqlnotes.net/Link-for-this-page!>Could Link to web page create a link to url in item field ?

would save the need for having URL field open (for my needs anyway) and generally simplify

Actually,
would it be a good idea to have this (as an option) for when actually saving text from a webpage as well ? - I probably wouldnt use it that way myself but might be useful for some

This would be an excellent option. It saves space.
