I dont seem to be able to sort by item (background) colour - is this possible?

I'm using colour as a sort of very simple tagging system - or more as a guide really.
In different grids colours have different meanings
e.g.
_BLUE = printed &/or read
_ORANGE = with comments (mine) or to consider/think about
_YELLOW = with comments (of less interest)

I suspect the only way is to set up fields for each of these colours (I've done this in another grid but they are grid specific and have other auto-assign rules too) or anyone else got ideas?
 -
If I made yes/no fields that change the colour & could then be used in various grids -
it would then be helpful if I could have a relevant name for field in each grid - or I could do as currently and have first few items explain the meaning of each colour (as in example above)

I tagged this feature request in case & can add it to mantis if apt

Sorting by items back color is possible. Is this what you want?
  • Use the Sort box (ItemColor)
  • Drag the ItemColor field to the grid and sort there
