1. I can't reproduce this yet but it has happened to me 3x now.  Somewhere using the short cut keys in the expand / collapse thread, strike thru is enabled.... weird

2. copy / paste data into IQ.  open document w Open Office, edit & save. Data does not reappear in the HTML pane.  However, if user re-opens w open office, edited document is present. Maybe i'm not saving properly.  I'm "'saving" not 'saving as'  And if I'm supposed to "save as", I'm not sure what I would "save as".. Tks.

In Open Office, are sure you are saving your document in pure MHT or HTML format ? The html pane cannot display Open Office Documents or even *.doc files for that matter.

Saved back to html.  Tried <F5> refresh & close / open IQ as some changes don't take place unless program is re-started here.

My queries in Bold:-

2. copy / paste data into IQ.  - into the html pane?
open document w Open Office,  - what document? how ? - see next -
- Do you have Open Office set up to replace MSWord within IQ ? (same way as BlockNote)
i.e. are you editing via IQ Word button or is one able to find the files in the database and then open them ?

I think this may relate to the other html thread edit html - it may depend on whether data is in MHT or HTML format

Tom, Thanks for taking the time to plow thru my post. I think I've got it sort of solved @ the moment from the other thread.

What I'm going to do -- until I figure out how to re-set the default -- is to use save to html if I think I might want to edit but a straight web page save w images , etc I'll save to MHT & use blocknote which I've now set up. Thanks so much for your continuing efforts to help me out.

You use ctrl-1 thru 9 to expand/collapse, right? You're not accidentally hitting Ctrl-S, are you? I often Ctrl-S, which (used to?) force a save of the database, and if I'm in the grid, any selections also get struck-thru

Keith, you may have put your finger on it but to answer your question, no I don't use <ctrl>1-9. See Menu | Item | expand / collapse
That's what I was using.  I'm thinking maybe I did <ctrl><minus> then hit "s".

Going forward, I'll start playing with <ctrl>1-9
