Version 0.9.25C is now available !

Submitted by Pierre_Admin on 2010/09/30 01:15
I've just released v0.9.25C. Hopefully it will be more stable than the previous.

Starting .0.9.25B, I'm using the latest version of CodeJock menus, some of the issues may be related to this change... time (and your experimentations) will tell

In this release:
  • Fix some bugs related to drag-drop
  • Started some menu / toolbar simplification.
p.s. v0.9.25D will introduce a "beginner" mode and an "advanced" mode. The "beginner" mode will present a much simplified menu / toolbar structure

Grid names can't contain periods

Submitted by lucasd on 2010/09/28 17:05
 Hello all,

I haven't fully tested this one, but I eventually figured out that the problems I was having with my grids were do to some of the grids having period characters in their names. Once I changed the grid names accordingly, the problems disappeared.

Before I elaborate further, maybe someone can tell me whether this is already a known issue or something others have experienced?

Thanks,

Lucas

Persistent crashing with .9.25B

Submitted by Tom on 2010/09/28 16:54

I've had about ten or more crashes today with 0.9.25B

This could be related to what I've been trying to do today, or maybe not  -
www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php  (Assign multiple field values at once to a Pop-up list using items from another grid)

Just thought I'd report and see if anyone else having crashes?
(If not I guess it's related to the popup lists)

Bug with using the # column to drag an item

Submitted by Tom on 2010/09/28 09:22

Well I found the bug (I mentioned it before but couldnt reproduce it)

Make the # column barely wide enough to show one digit.
If you hold the mouse over the column (.9.25B) you will see the new move-cursor, whether the # column shows a number or simply the three dots...
Bug is:   Click to drag-drop an item - it makes a selection box instead.

NB  - the trick is that the column is barely wide enough to show one digit of the number - it will only show the one digit for the first 9 items in the grid.

Is IQ suitable for keeping track of orders in a small shop?

Submitted by Tom on 2010/09/27 13:19

I'm wondering if IQ is suitable for keeping track of orders and items ordered in a small shop scenario?
In this small shop, orders are made roughly once a fortnight.

I was wondering how this might be approached in IQ.
Let's say that all items that will be ordered are added to IQ as new items, now, how would one approach the orders?

Each time an item is ordered, it could get a new parent - the order - this would lead to huge number of parents though.

Visble fields based on value of field value from drop down

Submitted by mknjlaw on 2010/09/25 23:38
Assume I create a drop down for the "Source" Field. Assume that the values in the list are: article; dissertation; book, letter, and review. Further assume that there are different forms with different fields for each value on the list. How can I have IQ display the form associated with list value selected?

Thanks
