conditional format using row equations

Submitted by reesd on 2011/08/31 20:58

It would be nice if we could use equations for computing individual field formatting (or at least color) rather than using the grid widget's conditional formats. Basically like what we can do at the item level now.

So instead of putting this in an field properties conditional formats
-1:PriInt=1:ForeColor=DarkRed
-1:PriInt=2:ForeColor=OrangeRed
-1:PriInt=3:ForeColor=DarkGreen

Suggestion Re: Displaying only some sub-items

Submitted by Tom on 2011/08/30 06:24
When I open a grid with a parent collapsed/closed, and drag an item to become it's sub-item, just the new sub-item shows (not any other children).
This is often *very* helpful behaviour, but has been initially confusing to me, and others - when you dont click what's going on.

Example:
the two blue item were dragged under "241 Final" which has many other sub-items

Suggestion:

In the above scenario, two sub-items show, but others are hidden -
[1] instead of showing the dot (indicating expanded) beside the parent item, continue showing the > arrow which indicates item collapsed. This would be a clue for those who are bewildered by this behaviour. Clicking on the arrow would then show all sub-items.

Another related situation [BUG]:

locking a grid view

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2011/08/27 13:03
Does anyone think this would be a useful option?

Example: I have a view which sucks up all items which are associated with a security field.
So.... looking at this view, one gets a quick, alphabetized list of items w user names, passwords, etc
If it were somehow locked this would not be possible unless left un-attended for a period of time (could have a timer attached to it)

I realize someone familiar w IQ could find themselves locked out of this view & still be able to reconstruct another view if the lock is based on the grid name but I'm thinking that maybe the security field could be 'locked' somehow, i.e. request a password.

Thoughts, comments, ideas, suggestions?

Losing all fields in grid after restarting IQ

Submitted by Tom on 2011/08/19 07:57

When I close IQ with a grid open, often all fields are gone on restart.
Happens in different grids. Save item state is selected.

My IQ "install" is fairly recent.

Sorry I cant be any more specific. I can give screenshot of options if that might help(?)

Anyone else seeing this problem?

Cannot Resize Pane

Submitted by magicspeller on 2011/08/15 00:21
 Hi everyone,

I'm a new user and not sure where the best place is to post this, so I'm just using the General Discussions forum.

I installed InfoQube some time ago, and am finally getting around to trying it out, but I immediately ran into a problem that has really been frustrating me.

I apologize if my terminology is incorrect; I hope I can at least make myself understood. I have the sample database loaded and see two panes: an item outline pane and an HTML pane. There is a big white space in between the two that is wasted space which I would like to use -- especially since the HTML pane is quite narrow for comfortable reading. So I would like to resize the HTML pane to fill in the white space. When I hover over the bar separating the panes, I see a resize icon ( a vertical "pipe" with left- and right-pointing arrows). However, if I left click and drag left to resize, it doesn't work.

IQ Crash > possible bug? + property pane focus still jumps when adding data in a form
