Difficulties with scrolling to bottom of window

Submitted by woodworker on 2012/04/25 09:48
Here is the setup: I open three windows with the html view taking up about 1/4 of the screen width on the right side. I select "windows, tile vertical". This is what I use for my personal desktop.

When I open another window, it opens full size. When I close it my desktop reappears. Cool. This is what I want. Now here is the problem: when I open the other window full size, the scroll does not take me down to the bottom of the screen. It stops before I reach the bottom, so that I can't access the data I am entering at the bottom.

No problem, just maximize the screen, you say. But when I do that I lose all my desktop settings and I have to do create my desktop all over again.

Icon formats

Submitted by martym on 2012/04/25 09:20
Had some time to work with IQ. Very amazing piece of SW. I have a suggestion related to icons. I have hundreds of icons, many of which I would like to use with IQ. The problem is that they are all in .ico format. It is pain to have to take them, one by one, into PAINT and convert them. Many times, the conversions don't end up as nice. Any possibility that IQ could accept the .ico format in addition to .gif?

Looking forward to the next update!

HTML Pane problem on IQ startup

Submitted by Tom on 2012/04/24 17:13

This happens every time here:
  1. HTML pane is floating (click within pane, F11)
  2. Select an item with HTML content
  3. Close the HTML pane
  4. Close IQ
When I restart IQ, the same grid reopens, the same item is selected.
I open the HTML pane via Ctrl+F12, it's still floating and it's empty. I click in the pane, there is no response.

Likewise, if the item has no HTML content and I try to add it, HTML pane does not respond.

Workaround is:
  1. Alt+Tab to another app and back, or
  2. Focus on another item, then go back to first item

Is it possible to create a default value for a field, then hide that column in grid & still have it work wn an equation?

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2012/04/21 12:27
It seems that all column values that play a part in an equation must be VISIBLE.  I'm trying to reduce the number of columns in a grid.

If user's rate is a consistent, why can't I create a default value that is added AUTOMATICALLY. From Help file I understand dbl click on cell will MANUALLY add default value.

Not really a bug - BUT should be improved

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2012/04/21 09:26
Sometimes I click on an item a small dialog appears that containing the following information / instructions:

"File of the same name found in Drive/Folder/FileName. If you want to link to this location, click Save"

Question: What "Save"?  It should be specific. From which menu?

Right now I (and maybe others) don't know which "Save"

changing fonts and font sized in HTML pane -- not

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2012/04/19 12:06
Using most current version, was unable to alter font and font size from Menu > format
HTML pane view was not in browse mode
closed, re-opened  IQ w/o change in this behavior

Steps to reproduce:
create new item
in HTML pane, add some data
I used bullets which worked
select all data
Menu > Format > Font
I chose Courier New, size #3

Can someone confirm this? Tks

New items are still scrolling off screen in W10

Submitted by Jon on 2012/04/15 17:38
I reported this here (http://www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php?q=node/2623) but it was not answered. This was present in the W10 update and still present in W10 portable, but less so and with a variation.

1. Keep on adding TLIs until you fill the screen.
2. Now add a few sub items, all at the same level.
3. Now add a sub item to the sub item (I use tab to do that).
4. Keep on adding sub items. See? You lose the item off screen.

This is VERY frustrating. I can't use this for work because it seriously interrupts my data input workflow.

P.S. This is not present in W5. I think this was re-introduced in subsequent versions. Some were worse than others.
