Can doc pane have a button quick set <code> tag? something like Bold, Italic, Underline do.

The format Toolbar has many format commands, like Bold, Italic, Underline and so on.
These command just quick add tags for convenience.
<code> tag is also very important and common. See below, these were manual added. doing this is very slow, troublesome, and cumbersome.
I think there should be a button for this. Many WYSIWYG Editor already had.

Thanks.

Document pane charset issue

Submitted by Pavel on 2019/02/27 10:18
 Hi there,
there seems to be a problem with the document pane handling of the PC language settings. My PC locale is set to English and when I put some Eastern European characters into the document pane, they are only displayed correctly until I leave the item. On return to it they are mangled. Same in HTML mode. The text in the grid has no such problems.

Text Formatting

The latest version of InfoQube doesn't seem to be able to change the format of the text in headings or the font used in body text.

I noticed that the headings of items formatted with the Wikipeed.css style sheet were no longer formatting their headings in the Linux Libertine font.  More than that they are no longer respecting the text formatting settings in the CSS files.

Body text can be made bold or italic but any changes to the font are ignored.

This should be easy to reproduce.

Parse Data From One Field to Many

Submitted by jnmwarren on 2019/02/20 06:59
I have a number of 4.0.65.197_164634. I need to parse the number into the following fields: Major Ver 4.0, Minor Ver 65, Hotfix 197 Build Ver 164634. How can this be done? I tried to use the '=' sign as outlined in the documentation  to parse but nothing happened. The documentation says that when the '=' is used by placing it at the beginning it will parse the data. But what deliminator does it use? And when it does parse, how does it parse the data.

Combine 2 Fields

Submitted by jnmwarren on 2019/02/19 14:30
I have two fields: Fname and Lname. They are also in two separate columns on my grid. I want to combine the two fields and have one field named ContactName. And I also want the new field as one column on my grid. I have not been able to find the answer. Or, if it is even possible.

Tag Request

Submitted by David_H on 2019/02/18 17:56
I now have the tag pane open at (nearly) all times. Would it be feasible to have the Nb column optionally show the number of tags in the notepad/grid that is active? I am finding that in almost all instances, that is the info I need to know, rather than how many items have a certain tag across the entire database.

Thanks

Clipper URL Request

Submitted by David_H on 2019/02/15 13:14
With the incredible tagging system IQ has now I am starting to use a notebook for bookmarks. This means I don't need to clip anything since I just want the bookmark. So I just copy and paste the URL, so it's the first (and only) line in the HTML pane. But for some reason the URL field stays blank (unless I clip content). If it's easy would it be possible in the next upgrade to have the URL also copy over to the URL field?

Thanks

A new Icon for Copy Item URI

Hi David,

You probably need to reset your menus and toolbars. Right-click on the menu and select customize

Also, it is sometimes a good idea to delete the toolbar customization files and start fresh. For example, tooltips were not showing on all my toolbars (they were showing on the menu commands).

Surface Question

Submitted by Paul_J_Miller on 2019/02/14 08:16
If I am looking at an item on the 'Surface' how do I get back to the item's grid?

When viewing an item on the 'Surface' there ought to be some way to go to the grid containing that item to see it in context.  Maybe a button in the context menu for that item to switch to the grid where that item appears.

Is there already a way to do this which I have missed?
