Folding / unfolding subitems should not alter the scroll state of the grid

Submitted by LeftEccoForIQ on 2020/10/28 04:12
When I unfold a parent with subitems so that some of these subitems would be off the bottom of the screen, the grid is scrolled upward so that more of these items appear on the screen and the positon of the parent item in the visible part of the grid is changed. When I fold the parent again, its position reverts to what it was before. I find this very disorienting. Strangely, I have one grid where this isn't happening, not sure why. Anyway, I'd rather do all the scrolling myself - or alternatively if only the first jump in the grid happened (moving the item towards the top when unfolding) without jumping back to the previous scroll position when folding again, that would be fine by me. Thanks!

How do I filter for ItemSkipStyle:True

Submitted by Outlinely on 2020/10/27 14:56
Hello all,

I am new to IQ-IM but not to outlineres in general, so I've lately been trying to bend the free IQ Outliner to my will.

Using the excellent [node:4940,title="primer"] by Cyganet, I've now set up a single-pane outliner, and experimenting with its different exports.

I really like the possibility to export non-heading items only, but I would also really like to construct a grid likewise only displaying normal text without any of their associated headers.

It ought to be possible to make a grid filtering for content items, as they all have the attribute ItemSkipStyle:True, but exactly that attribute seems nowhere to be found in the Item Properties pane.

My goal is to have my actual outline hidden/underlying, leaving only my different headings' asscociated text items concatenated into one te

How do I exclude a certain source from a Grid

Submitted by assari on 2020/10/25 07:03
 Hi,

I have a Grid which I use to export items from Infoqube (via copy paste)
I currently use a criteria filter viz "itemmodified >(now-7)" to filter via date
The source for the grid is currently (allitems)

I would also like to exclude items from a particular source.
I tried "(allitems) AND (NOT [food])" but that didn't work.
At the moment I'm using a workaround of creating a special column and using "[columnname] is null" as the source filter

Thanks for the help

UI Improvements Suggestions

Hi IQ Users !

Following a recent discussion on Outliner Software (here)
[quote]
one of “IQ”‘s main problems, together with its abysmal GUI / ergonomics

and other comments from a significant number of users, I'd like to hear suggestions of how some aspects of the UI could be improved, while of course, keeping the soul of what IQ is, a powerful and flexible information management tool

I have my own list of areas that need improvements, but before influencing anyone, I'd like to hear from you, regular IQ users.

So...
