observations about Image Viewer pane

1.  View > Image Viewer shows the image when the FileName field refers directly to a .JPG file, but not when it refers to a .LNK file that refers to the .JPG file.

2.  The Image Viewer does not rotate the image when it has EXIF orientation tag indicating how it needs to be rotated.

3.  The image shown in the Image Viewer when I click on another item.  If I View > Image Viewer on another item with a linked image, that image is displayed in a second image viewer.  On the other hand, when I clicked View > Image Viewer on a third item that links to a .LNK file (rather than the .JPG), one of the Image Viewers goes blank (rather than opening up a third Image Viewer window).  When I clicked View > Image on a fourth View > Image Viewer on a fourth item that links to a .LNK file (rather than the .JPG), the other Image Viewer went blank.

Line selection, Sticky text color selection, Word selection at cursor

Several requests for text handling in doc pane:
  • Some text programs have a useful function that when you hover far left of a line (like the one in screenshot below), the mouse head turns to upper-right, then left click selects the whole line. Is this possible to do in doc pane?
  • To make coloring several parts of a text via a keyboard shortcut in doc pane easier, is it possible to make any color on "Text Color" menu "sticky" in the sense that once I choose, say, red on that palette, as soon as I use text color keyboard shortcut, text color is changed. That way, I don't have to go to color palette each time I want to change color of a text.

URL files linking to IQ items/views

I can do right-click > Copy > Copy Item URIs. Then in a File Explorer window I can right-click > New > Shortcut > paste > Next > type name of shortcut > Finish. Now I have a URL file that links to the IQ items.

How about an option to Save Link As > file save dialog > navigate to desired location > type desired name of URL file > OK.

Or drag and drop of selected item(s) to an File Explorer window > URL file is created > rename as desired. I tried this and the plus sign appeared over the cursor as if a link would be created, but nothing happened.

Associate cost with Repeating Calendar Appointments

Submitted by Mike3003 on 2021/01/12 23:50
Hi,

Just wondering if the following is possible?

I have a bunch of appointments with a cost associated with them and I wanted to calculate a planned budget.  I synchronised google calendar using the full sync method but I don't see all repeating appointment entries.  Is there any way I can see all repeating appointments in a grid so that I can add a cost to them?

Many thanks,
Mike

Windows 10
InfoQube Ver 0.9.11 PRE1 12/24/2020

Thanks to the patience of Pierre I have converted from Ecco Pro (23 year user) to InfoQube. He answered all my start up questions.

Here are some 2 newbie questions that I hope you can help me with.

1. Can i set the 'text fore color' to default to something else rather than none. Also can I setup several different fore colors (Red - Grey etc) and the icons for them on my tool bar for one touch (click) activation.

2. Can I have the cursor (highlight) stretch across the entire Item and the colums so I can orient myself when editing a column value.
