Hi IQUsers !
 
v0.9.25 has been in development for quite some time, more than 1 year in fact , but we can finally say that it is complete and fully functional .
 
This doesn't mean that work on v0.9.26 hasn't started, in fact, we've been working on it for more than 6 months.
 
v0.9.26 is entirely focused on an improved Calendar. Changes include:
  1. Multi-month view (discussed in A Calendar Year View anyone ?)
  2. Google Calendar-like event properties UI (replacing the so-so Outlook-like UI)
  3. Google Calendar Sync (and through it, mobile device sync)
These new features will be rolled out in sequence, as they are available, in "Pre-Release" form, so expect to see v0.9.26PreRel1 fairly soon

Thanks Pierre, for the hard work. Looking forward to the Google Sync. Will it be calendar only or contacts and tasks also?

Calendar first, but we'll extend to contacts and tasks soon after.
 

Are we close to the "fairly soon" date of a pre-release of the calendar?  (I waited 18 wks to ask)
 
More importantly to me, post-calendar, what's really next, and will it be any faster than the calendar development?
Is it the rtf component, or the user modes, or the "named filters" I've been waiting for 3 yrs? Is it something in Mantis?
 
I need some assurance 2011 is the "year of IQ"!, or if and when 1.0 will happen. (did I count 70 or so items in Mantis post-0.9.26?)
 
 
 

Well, well...
 
That was back in April of this year, that I announced that v0.9.25 was finally complete, after more than a year in development...
 
5 months later , v0.9.25W (and since we're running out of letters...) will be the last version of v0.9.25 series (well, bug fixes may be required, but these will be numbered !)
 
And (finally !) we'll be moving to incorporating the work done on the calendar. The aim is to have a pre-rel version in September 2011.

p.s. To help us focus on v0.9.26, dear IQUsers, could all these great ideas, suggestions, etc, be kept in a secret drawer (or more likely, in a special IQGrid) for a few weeks ?  Thanks a million

Maybe we can flush things out on uservoice while you are knocking out 9.26? Are you looking at that, do we need to get it better aligned with Mantis - I noticed you list forum threads for changes these days rather than Mantis or uservoice...

Hi Pierre, I was just wondering in which version would the multiple undo-redo feature be implemented ?
