Hi IQ Users,

Included in v0.9.25S :
  • Fixed: Dropping a field from the properties pane to the grid does not apply conditional formats
  • Changed: Double-click on a numeric cell no longer increments, but enters edit mode (like in date and text cells)
  • Changed: Click anywhere on the cell which has the focus enters edit mode
  • Fixed: Changing a field name does not update the opened grids (see: NextTaskID can get confusing)
  • Fixed: Changes to field properties are immediately applied to all opened grids (name, alignment, read-only, icons, etc). No longer required to close and re-open !
  • Improved: Changes to many options (tools>>options) no longer require a restart (i.e. named colors, Nb items in tab captions, 2-D grid menu, etc)
  • New: In Tools>>Options>>General>>Other, added an option to set the Database buffer size, to limit IQ memory usage
  • New: Gantt Chart now supports Summary bars. Summary bars can show %Complete if desired. Moving the Summary bar will move all sub-tasks with it !
  • Fixed: MHT Refresh Problem
  • Improved: Popup message appears during field auto-recalc (which occurs on each day change for fields set to auto-recalc)
  • Fixed: HTML pane Hyperlink menu was incorrectly under Format. Now it is under Insert
  • Fixed: HTML Pane file hyperlink problem

 Enjoy !

Pierre,

Thanks for the rapid changes in this version. I didn't do any testing for awhile because I was wrapped up a few hours with:

Resizing HTML pane causing crash

However, once I got by that problem, I was very pleased to find out how well the HTML editor is working. That is to say, the fonts are BIG!!! now...and Zoom works great!! (...no more crazy typing problems). And, I can switch to MHT mode just fine and edit with MS Word. I was quite amazed to find that when I converted MHT back to HTML and I can still see images in the cases where the images are stored on my hard drive...that is really amazing!! Also, the hyperlink to a file works just fine now...and thanks for moving that to the Insert menu.

I have not had time to play around with the Gantt improvements yet, but will get back to you on that when I can.

Thanks again.

Dave

I've tested it quite a bit today -- am planing a new project... And didn't notice anything unusual, apart maybe a refresh problem with the gantt when hierarchies are first expanded. But I'll have to test more.

Should I leave it to 0 ? Or are there special requirements for bigger DBs ?
  • New: Gantt Chart now supports Summary bars. Summary bars can show %Complete if desired. Moving the Summary bar will move all sub-tasks with it !
This is really nice. I love it! Thanks. That makes the gantt much more useful and fun to use.
Works great. The popup is a nice touch.
  • Improved: Popup message appears during field auto-recalc (which occurs on each day change for fields set to auto-recalc)
Nice touch.

Works well.

Armando,

I'm not seeing %complete in Summary bars, nor does moving the summary bar move all the sub-task. Do I have to enable the feature someplace?

Did you activate the summary bar feature for any item-parent ?  (BTW, PIerre : Maybe some  gantt options (non working day, is summary bar) should also be part of the item context menu... They are item specific option(s) and not "full gantt graph" options)

yes, all sub items with gantt durations should move when you move the summary bar.  Here it works, both in the sample DB and in my own

I also have the % complete appearing. But this probably because I have a conditional column equation transferring the % complete total to the parent.

Note that as I also said earlier, i think that there's a refresh issue with the gantt. When I expand a hierarchy, the gantt doesn't show what it's supposed to show. Maybe Pierre or someone else can confirm that ?

Armando,

I got summary bars working okay...I'm a slow learner. I think the feature could use a little video tutorial. Maybe when I get the time I will make one.

BTW...If you look at this post Pierre...thanks...this is neat!!!
