Has anybody successfully imported an Evernote 2.2 database into IQ? I did a search here and found very little, just one person claiming that he did this with no problems. My problem is that I have finally managed to import without any error messages popping up, but what's imported is of no use. I get a number of items that are either cut off or are lines of the original items, not the whole item. Forget about folders and categories/tags. Are there any intermediate steps that I need take? Any help will be greatly appreciated. PJ

Hi PJ
I just tried a very simple import of small evernote file (maybe 20-30 notes) - I also got the problem that only the first line of each note was imported into the grid item - but discovered the rest in the HTML pane.
I looked in the HTML pane and initially nothing showed for the item I checked, I was writing here then Alt-Tabbed back to IQ again, and the missing info is now showing in the HTML pane.
(Maybe it needed a while to come through - or a refresh? Subsequent items showed content immediately in the HTML pane.) **

1) As you can see, images did not import (this is not possible at the moment - but is planned AFAIK).

2) if you look in the properties pane you will see that the categories were (silently) made into fields (Images; Images with Handwriting). I'm not sure how one is supposed to find all these new fields - I mean as a group - they will at any rate be visible in the properties pane for each item that had a category in EN.

BTW how did you import? Did you follow the instructions on Tips for EverNote (2.x) users ?
To be honest I dont understand the options suggested under "Moving to IQ" on that page at all

I havent imported anything beyond these few notes from evernote but a couple of regulars here have so hopefully someone else will chip in.

** (EDIT) that was a small bug with the "floating" html pane that I since reported.

I imported all my Evernote items (about 1350) a while ago. It went without a hitch.
Item contains the subject line.
HTML pane (ItemHTMLtext) contains the actual note body.
Tags are transferred to fields.
I noted that it took about 15 min. to import all items. Your mileage may vary.

Hi pejay !

If you can supply an EN export file (part or whole), I can certainly try to reproduce issues you're having, if any and/or explain how the import information is presented inside IQ

(you can PM me the file if it contains private information)
