Hi IQ Users,

In this interim release (v0.9.26PreRel22):
  • New: Grids: Outline Labels. Initial release of this much requested feature. Use Grid > Show Outline Labels to turn ON/OFF.
In future releases, we'll add named lists of outline labels allowing customisations (à la Ecco Pro)
One can see numeric and alpha labels, cumulative or not (cumulative in the first 3 levels):

Work integrating Goople Calendar Sync has started.

And, usual, enjoy an additional 90 days of free use !

In addition to the named outline lists, do you plan to allow options to apply styles (cumulative or otherwise) past level 3? I understand space considerations, but I can do this in Ecco with good effect - do you have other views on this?

Hi Jon,

Yes, I should be able to reproduce just about all of Ecco outlining labels.
It is more oriented towards better printing than for doing actual work right now (partly because of some issues with column filters which I'll try to resolve eventually)

I'll get a working Google Calendar link working and then will get back to refining this feature.

A small bug prevented the Manage Grid dialog from working correctly, so I've issued an interim release v0.9.26PreRel22a is now available

Hi Pierre:

I've stayed with 21. Can you tell me if this bug was introduced in 22 or does it also effect versions prior to 22 (namely 21)?

Thanks.

It was introduced in 22. 21 was OK
in 22a, I've simplified the new outline labels. Have it a go if you want !

The Manage Grid dialog still has issues.  If I try to reorder the grids, and hit Save Order, the grids disappear.  When I reopen IQ, they're unchanged.

Thanks,
Mike

I can confirm that. It's actually the grids in the grid menu/bar that disappear, not the grids in the "manage grids" dialog.
Grids disappear both in the grid menu and in the manage grids dialog.
An IQ restart is required.

Hmmm... version 20 has that problem too here. Strange I didn't notice it.
Not possible to reorder grids.

It must have been like this for quite some time, as I've not modified this in a "long" time !
A sorting routine was changed a few versions back and it caused this bug.

I'll fix it today and issue an update.

Thanks for reporting

However, if I had tried to reorder the grid tabs, it fails, even after the restart of IQ.  Annoying but not critical.

This is working fine now.  Thanks for the quick fix!

Hi IQ Users !

I've issued v0.9.26PreRel23 which fixes the issue in the manage grid dialog (Save Order clears the list of grids).

Enjoy !
