Hi IQ Users !

In this next release:
  • New: Grid: New Column menu (same as Ecco) to collect all column related commands. It includes the new Alignment commands.
This should improve the UI (and removes clutter on the Grid menu too !)
  • New: Grid: Improved column selection (supports CTRL and SHIFT)
  • New: Grid: Easy setting of column alignment
  • New: Grid: Paste clipboard images directly. A image file will be silently created and placed in the YourIQBase.sndb.files folder
  • New: HTML Pane: Paste clipboard images directly. A image file will be silently created and placed in the YourIQBase.sndb.files folder
  • New: HTML Pane: Foreground and Background color menu now shows a list of stock colors
  • Change: Grid: Gone is the Select Mode option. Multi-column select mode is always enabled.
  • Change: Grid: Edit > Copy : Always shows dialog if the tree column is selected. Added Select Item (in tab-delimited). Items in the dialog are numbered so users can simply type the corresponding number to select
  • Change: Grid: While waiting for a UI to choose outlining labels, return to the previous style (i.e. 1.3.2.5.2.7)
  • Fixed: Tools > Options > General> 2-D Grid list menu was not applied to the "Recent Grids" menu
  • Fixed: HTML Pane: Foreground and Background color is now enabled
  • Fixed: Grid: For IQBases with a large number of grids, opening a grid could change the item back color
I'll update this post as issues are fixed, new features added !

Thank you Pierre. These look really good. Is there any chance of including in your improvements my response to your request for suggestions here? Please? I've copied my suggestions below for your quick reference.

1. On a positive note, I like the change you made when displaying the outline labels within the tree column.
2. The not so good: The change to the current labels looks incomplete. When I print something for colleagues, the sequence is OK unless I go past the third level, then it looks unfinished, inconsistent and a bit chaotic. I use Harvard outline style (maybe one of the modified versions) in Ecco and this is fine. It is orderly, logical and predictable. You know where you are just by looking at the outline number. I know that you will implement further changes but until you do is it possible to toggle between the "old" style IQ numbers and the new style?

I mentioned printing and have one huge request. Fit to print does not do what I need. The biggest problem is getting the information within the margins of the page, no matter how many pages long. Can you add Fit to width?

Thank you Pierre.

It's coming but I don't think in this version.
Print-to-fit works but only for printing to a single page.
Print-to-fit over multiple pages is what you need ?

Can you add an option to always "Load all items" without asking with dialog box what you want to load or whatever is your desired items loading option.

If by print to fit over multiple pages, you mean print to width, then yes. In other words, I need to be able to be sure to capture all the columns on a page and it does not matter if the rows extend along multiple pages.

By the way, I would call it fit to width because fit over multiple pages can mean horizontally and/or vertically.
