I would like to be able to easily access / edit my infoqube database from any of the computers that I use (e.g. desktop, two different laptops), and really haven't found the right answer yet.  So I'd like to get ideas from other IQ users how they do it.

Ideas:
- run IQ from SD card or USB flash drive and move it to whatever computer you happen to be using.  This is what I'm doing right now, not very convenient.
- put the IQ database in dropbox.  This results in conflicted files if have IQ open on two computers at the same time.
- access IQ database over network and use a VPN when using laptop from remote location.
- run IQ on desktop computer, and control this instance from remote location using remote control / VNC program when using laptop from remote location.  Maybe Google Remote Desktop, Teamviewer, etc.
- other ideas?

What works best for you?

I dont have a solution here - I've simply limited myself to one machine.
Very occasionally I use it on my laptop, then I sync to a USB stcik - have to be careful to sync in the right direction each time :/ (wouldnt want to have to do that too often...)

Mainly posting cause I wanted to point out that backup could be another problem when using IQ file on different machines - something to keep in mind.

Dropbox works fine for me, and the occasional conflict is not frequent enough to be an issue.

Pierre, when using IQ with Dropbox, do you configure IQ to make database backups, or do you just rely on previous versions of the file kept by Dropbox?  I'm thinking it might be better to do the latter because all the backup files in the dropbox would also be synced, creating conflicts, etc.

Another solution is to backup to the same path on different machines (i.e. set path in IQ files options).
