This happens fairly often if I try to access the Field properties dialog through right clicking on a field in the properties pane and select "Field properties" : crash.

It also happens, but rarely, when I try to access the  fields properties by right clicking the column headers. So I use that as a work around. But I was pushed to post about it because IQ just crashed after trying to access the fields properties dialog through the column headers.

 

The problem is that I can't reproduce it with the sample file (at least for now) -- only with my file. And even then, it doesn't happen all the time. It seems to have to do with timing -- some processes still going on while the field properties trying to get the numerous fields data...? Don't know, but it happens often enough so I'm a bit weary of changing fields.

 

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to do more debugging at the moment as I have an long paper due pretty soon.
