With the old hierarchical mode, there was a custom toolbar button that could be put on the toolbar to show the status of the mode, I very much liked being able to see at a glance which mode I was in.  Is this possible with the new Display Mode?  If not, please consider adding to a future release.

Thanks

Hi David,

The drop-down icon updates to show the current display mode

Hi Pierre,

Yes but you have to click on the button to see the drop down, so there is no way to just look up and know what mode you are in, more importantly that does not actually work for me.  See video here and let me know if I am missing something.

Thanks,

David

You probably need to reset the toolbar. Right click > customize > reset

Tried that, for me it still functions as shown in the video.

Here, it works as advertised, but I had to replace the old button with the new one.

Try this
- right click on toolbar
- select customize
- in the customize dialog, if the standard toolbar isn't set to be displayed, set it to be displayed (check the checkbox). If it is already displayed, reset it.
- now click on the "Display mode" button of the standard toolbar and ctrl+drag it to your current toolbar to copy it there.
- Remove your old button from your toolbar (click and drag it away from the toolbar).
- Close the customize dialog.

Does the button now work as it should ?

Definitely strange. Could you try to copy the portable version to a fresh folder and see if it fixes this issue ?

Thanks
