I'm trying to use the default number field "order" so that I can manually apply a sort order to TLI in a grid.  Until now I have never used any sort functions, with the exception of sort ascending/descending which I use constantly.  When I enter some numbers for items using the "order" field, and then attempt to sort using that column, I don't know what logic is being used to sort, but it's not sorting as I'd expect.  I've attached a screenshot.

Why isn't it sorting by placing the blank fields first and then the numbers?  Or visa versa?  Why are the numbers spread out?  All the items are TLI.  Display mode is set to outline.  I've tried with and without context parents on, though I'd think that shouldn't affect it?

In addition to using the sort button in the screenshot, I've also tried just right clicking on the top of the column and selecting sort ascending.  While I can sort successfully on other text and date columns using that method, it still won't work with the order column.

Edit: I just tried it on my laptop and strangely, there it sorts fine.

Thanks

What "sort function" are you using?
Can you show a screen shot of all active filters (in source bar etc.)

Thanks.  Re: type of filter, per first post I even just tried manually sorting by right clicking on the column and clicking descending or ascending, with no other filters activated.  Strangely, after getting it to work on my laptop, it now works on my desktop, so I'll chalk it up as an IQ mystery.
