Hi IQ Users,

In this release (v0.9.72 Beta):
  • New: Properties Pane: If the focus is on the Properties Pane, View > Zoom In / Out now changes its font size, not that of the grid
  • New: MapView: For each node, can now toggle the hoz/ver display of sub-nodes
  • New: MapView: Option to show straight or curved lines
  • Fixed: MapView: Moving an item from a parent to another did not always work
  • Fixed: MapView: Items expansion states was only partially restored
  • Fixed: MapView: Improved Zoom In/Out
  • Fixed: MapView: Fixed Print Preview related issues
  • Change: MapView: Number of parents is no longer shown
  • Fixed: Grid: Bold, Italic, etc and Item fore / back colors commands now work correctly with Unicode text
  • Fixed: Grid: Erase item dialog: Main text now filters out embedded html codes
  • Fixed: Calendar: When creating a multi-day event using the mouse, the New Event dialog box did not correctly fill the End Date
  • Fixed: Calendar: Dropping items on the Calendar in month view (i.e. timescale off) now shows the New Event dialog (1 dialog for each item dropped)
  • Fixed: Calendar: Improved tooltips for multi-day all-day events
  • Fixed: HTML Pane: Sometimes images are not resolved correctly
[Edit] v0.9.72a is now online and (hopefully) truly fixes the issue with images not always showing in the HTML pane   [/Edit]
[Edit2] v0.9.72b is now online. Fixes bug introduced in v0.9.71 where grid layout changes are not saved when closing [/Edit]

Thanks Pierre,
it's great to get all these fixes and improvements

Amazing progress! I shall test this release, but not until next week!

Thanks Pierre!

A few quick tests of the Map View reminded me of a program I used a lot - Freemind.
While the old Map View was of little practical use to my work flow, I can see benefits of using it now.

Personally, navigation seems inconsistent. Furthermore it would be nice if we can use the same shortcuts for adding or moving new items from within the Map View.

Thanks for the quick update, Pierre!

Is there a way to "just simply print" something in everyday normal fashion, without having to export to html or a grid or a template or fuss around doing this and that?

When I "print preview", "select items and columns"  it doesn't print anything close to what it's previewing, and even what previews isn't anything close to my selected grid setup.  printing used to be simpler in the earlier versions.

Hi Doug,

Which view is an issue for you (grid, calendar, mapview, timeline, pivot table, pivot chart, Gantt, Properties pane, HTML pane)

WYSIWYG print does not do this for you ?

Pierre,

WYSIWYG appears to work fine for printing the entire grid, but I don't want to do that, I just want to print "selected items & columns", actually just part of one quite wide column in the grid, and that definitely doesn't output to WYSIWYG, the fairly wide on-screen grid column gets squished to about an inch wide in print preview and the text runs on for great length in this narrow output column.

I see, you can try this then :
  1. Hide the.columns you don't want to see
  2. Hoist the.items you want to print
  3. If the columns width are still incorrect, Set the grid.columns to auto width
  4. Optionally save this grid setup, such as YourGridPrint
I'll add an option to WYSIWYG print selected coluns and items
Also coming soon is print to fit ( x by y sheets of paper )

HTH !
