I mentioned before that I use "new tab" to create multiple views of the same grid.  I no longer see this command in the grid context menu nor in the pulldown menus.  Did this get changed somehow or am I just not seeing it?

Still there, in v76 at least. You can also use Shift + Click (on the Views toolbar) to open a new copy of a grid

I didn't know about this capability.  I'm puzzled.  What happens to changes you make to the grid copies (filtering, sorting, etc etc.) .  What changes are still there the next time you open the grid?

I'll have to speak from memory since it's not working for me right now (Pierre's shortcut suggestion didn't work either).  You can apply different filtering etc to the two views.  Example of how I was using it recently:  I have an item hoisted in one grid view.  In a second grid view, hoist is off and I can add info to other items without hoisting/unhoisting.

Also handy, of course, for quickly seeing different parts of a long grid, comparing different parts etc.

Any shortcut can be customized, so you could create your own, as I do.
[Edit : although -- after a second and third check --  it actually seems that new tabs isn't part of the ones you can modify!  ]
