I see there's a fair bit of difference between the new blank file and one with sample data.

Wondering if one is recommended over the other for starting a new database?

e.g. I see the Sample one has To Do fields that the other doesnt:

A blank DB is useful if you know IQ inside out and don't want any extra fields, grids, etc.
IMO, a bad idea for most users as it's easy enough to delete grids and fields in a sample DB, if needed.

thanks guys
wow, 'oldest' active member, fancy that...

Still feel like a beginner lol, but making more of an effort with IQ this time round. I used use it in a very structured narrow way -- which was fine for the work I was doing (for years). But trying to diversify a bit with it now.

So expect lots more noob queries, in spite of my forum age

Well... IQ can be used for simple or more complicated stuff and that's great.
