Hi IQ Users !

Version v0.9.97a is now available:
  • New: Edit > Unselect All command (Ctrl + Shift + U)
  • New: Grid: Option to turn off highlight of the focused cell
  • New: Grid: Option to highlight row and column headers
  • New: Grid: Option to not automatically select the item when the focus is set to the # column (use Alt + S to select the item)
  • Fixed: When switching between applications, Edit was not resumed if the grid was in a pane
  • Fixed: Grid: When pasting complex HTML into the grid, line breaks were inserted every 80 characters or so
  • Fixed: Grid: When using the pop-up editor, the item split command did not order items correctly
  • Fixed: Grid: Undo after an Edit > Cut did not work when more than one cell was selected
  • Fixed: Home Page: An initial click was required to set focus to the Home Page before it responded to click events
  • Fixed: Home Page: Setting focus to the Home Page updated the Properties and HTML panes

Thanks Pierre.  The option to turn off focused cell works well, probably not something most users will use, but I like it.  And the row and column headers being lit up is enough to still easily see where I am.

and if using a highlight colour, the option to disable 1.2.4 "Semi transparent selector" allows easy reading of text in highlighted cell.
(Thanks Pierre)

* Tom tries to remember what was planned for #97 (calendar I think)

I wish there was much more, but it isn't the case...

I'm busy stabilizing it before my annual holidays
(many internal changes in v95 and v96 created new issues and these need to be ironed out)

Works well here, now show stoppers, but a few small things/regressions. I'm sure they can wait till the end of your well deserved holidays!!

You can read that when you're back:
  • When pasting in a cell, focus jumps to top of the grid. (That bug is the most annoying in the list)
  • Command (shortcut key in this case) to activate/deactivate column filter: need to press 2 times to deactivate column filter (here, shortcut -- personal I think -- ctrl+alt+shift+G). Not sure why.
  • Add item : Win+N : focus is often not in the add item window, but in the IQ interface.
  • IQ more CPU intensive when resting, doing nothing - here, between 3 and 5% CPU at all times. (Maybe be due to the "resuming editing" feature when back to IQ?)
  • When cell highlighting isn't on, certain operations on items don't work (like "done" / ctrl+m). Need to double check this one.

Hi Pierre,

In answer to your question, not so well for me because Calendar grid is the source of considerable trouble.  Can't move back and forth between Calendar and other grids because it crashes InfoQube, continually.  So have to close Calendar before moving to another grid.  However the good that's come from that is that I've learned my 5-week selection is maintained when I close IQ with Calendar already closed.  Holds correct chronological order better too.

take care

Hi Pierre,

Have those been looked at/fixed, or should I create topics for them?

Thanks!

Hi Armando !

No need to create topics for them, I'll look into it for v98

Yes, this one really is annoying! Sorry to sound negative - otherwise this is a good release.
