Hi,

Just wondering if the following is possible?

I have a bunch of appointments with a cost associated with them and I wanted to calculate a planned budget.  I synchronised google calendar using the full sync method but I don't see all repeating appointment entries.  Is there any way I can see all repeating appointments in a grid so that I can add a cost to them?

Many thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Currently, repeating events can only be viewed in the Calendar. In a grid, you see a single event, the first in the series
There is work planned to improve the Calendar and seeing repeating events in grids is on the list
But... this will still be a single item, so you'll still be able to add values to the one "real" item, not to each instance of the event

What needs to happen for this, is being able to turn repeating events into real items.

Perhaps a repeating event could become 'real' when it happens (i.e. when it's date passes) so it leaves a 'real' event behind to record that the event passed.

Just a thought.

Yeah, for this scenario I am just as interested in future events to see what costs are likely against my remaining budget.  My son has a lot of therapy appointments - for appointments that happen I get sent an invoice so I forward those automatically to IQ and put the cost in to track actual expediture that way.  I thought the calendar might be an easy way to see what is planned for the rest of the year (can quickly delete holiday events etc), associate a cost, and get a planned expenditure to make sure I am not over-booking therapists.

I like the framework of events being associated with one item.  I think it's generally an advantage to not clog the database with recurring appointments - it just would have made my life easy in this case!  I think I'll try to come up with a formula based work around.  There is no way to query an item for a list of events (number of recurrences in a time period) is there?

Couple of other quick things - I tried to reset my account password but there doesn't see a way to do that - My account -> Edit is blank.

Also,  just checking if IQ -> Google sync for calendar is working?  I sync from IQ -> google tasks OK but IQ -> google calendar doesn't seem to work.  Google events are coming in but no IQ events end up in google calendar.

Cheers,
Mike
