Since the recent "sensitivity fix" for the drag and drop operations, "lasso" style selection e. g. by dragging on the header column with the left mouse button down, no longer seems to work. Instead, the first item under the mouse is always dragged rather than the selection expanded. Thanks.

Hi Left,
Can you provide detailed steps ? I'm not sure I get the method you describe (I always use Shift+Click to select multiple items)

Here's a screen photo. The tiny rectangle that IQ draws over the header column shows where I started the drag. Dragging from there, I used to be able to draw a larger frame to select multiple items until only about one or two weeks ago (I think it still worked in "e" but am not entirely sure). The mouse cursor shows that IQ now starts to interpret the "lasso" selection as an item drag almost immediately. Before, this only happened when dragging on the item column, I think. Thanks.

Wow, I'd say drag (and drop) is now pretty much perfect! Many thanks for grinding away at it all this time.

Behavior isn't consistent when dragging from another grid - it will indent even when dropping in the left half of the item column...

Indeed, a small initialization issue. I'll update v118g patch with this fix
Meanwhile, you can drop on any other column or first do a dummy drag-drop on the destination grid (to initialize)

Hi. Noticed something else: drag-and-drop as a child (i. e. with mouse button release over right half of item column) will now place the dropped item as the topmost child. This is, in fact, something I've always wanted as an option. Not sure it works well as the default, though. Was this an intentional change? Many thanks!

Ugh, turns out when doing the child-drop with multiple items, the order of all items dropped reversed from top to bottom. Help! :-)
Also, do you think a user setting would be possible to set percentage of the width of the item column where the point should be that separates sibling-drop from child-drop? So if I set it to 25% rather than 50%, I wouldn't need to drag so far to the right for the child-drop?
Many thanks!

Could it be that you selected them from bottom to top? And that they drop as expected if you select them from top to bottom?
(I'm unable to check atm)

Regarding the relative position for subs, it is now a fixed 2 cm into the item (or 50% of the column width whichever is most appropriate)
We'll get there...
