Suddenly (after moving Tag locations in the Tag Pane), I am no longer able to add a Tag by using the Tag Column. All the values are grayed out. I can still add the Tags by checking them in the Tag Pane.
I went back to an old database and I started to work on the Tag structure again. After several hours of work, I have the same issue: All Tag values are grayed out in the column. I suspect this may be some bug??
I am not sure what to do at this point.... If I go back to my old database, I am afraid that the same problem will come back later (if I try to work on the Tag structure)
It is random; comes and goes. Currently the column pop-up window shows two Tags checked. However, only one Tag is checked in the column and in the Tag Pane.
I remember seeing this a "long time" ago, and if I remember correctly(?), it was a bug that you fixed.
please provide screenshots or a sample IQBase. Your description is way too abstract for any constructive help. Re-read this thread (along with many of your other threads) and see it someone else could provide help with so little information. Think first, post afterwards.
I was finally able to solve the issue with the extra "phantom Tag" (An extra Tag that only showed in Column Tag Popup list). I had to first open the database in an old IQ version (v117j). This caused other issues, but I quickly closed the database. I then opened the database in v120pre24 again and the extra "phantom Tag" was gone!
I guess that I will try this going forward when this happens again. I hope that I may not corrupt the database by temporarily open it in old IQ versions?
