I have links to a Grid where I have used several different grid source filters.

It would be very helpful if the Link could include a previously used source filter (as found in the drop-down list). In this way, I wouldn't need to create multiple Grids, each with a different filter, to use for my links.

p.s. It would be even better if it was also possible to include previously used source and sorting..?

I'll second that.
I understand that Infoqube is designed so that Grids (and Fields too) can act as filters.
But when you use filters very often, some sort of dynamic filtering will clean up a uselessly large Grids list.
This can be done by "Including Filter Settings in Links to Grids" as vinking suggested.
I'm personally thinking about the "query" feature found in the likes of Roam or Logseq, which is central to these newer outliners' design.

Query in logseq : https://docs.logseq.com/#/page/queries

Yes indeed.

But as you suggested, they can not be included dynamically in hyperlinks to on-the-fly pre-filtered grid (the scratch !), only to preexisting grids.

What I was personally suggesting are inline queries whose results are shown directly under an item in the current grid (like logseq)

Anyway, the way infoqube is built, I think your suggestion is maybe the most appropriate (and easiest ??) way to make this happen.

Hi minos,

First a warm welcome from the entire IQ community. It is always nice to see new "faces"

I haven't spent too much time with Logseq, but it is good to know how it supports queries. In IQ, you can set sub-item filters, so each level gets a different filter. Perhaps this can do what you'd like. See Source Filter Editbox

FYI, Grid hyperlinks with filters were discussed at the last Coffee Shop and will be implemented soon.

Thank you, Pierre.

Sub-Item filters are a powerful type of query. But you will see, if you try logseq queries, that this is not what I was referring to. It is like the filtered grid is embedded inside an item of the current grid. The item IS the query, if that makes sense.

I'm glad that "Grid hyperlinks with filters" will be implemented !

I would suggest that if a grid is opened with a Link|Filter and then closed, it would open with it's "default" grid filter when opened again normally.
Also, when a Grid is opened with a Link|Filter1, and then accessed again with another Link|Filter2, it would use the later Filter2.
