If I remove the "Parent = Sum children" property from fields
the Parent's filled fields stay filled - I tried clicking the refresh button after this option, closing grid & restarting IQ without success -
 
maybe it's not possible to clear these fields automatically ?

You would not want to remove the total automatically, at least not always, but I can add a button (field properties) to do it.
