In the grid, when I click ANYWHERE in an item containing an email address, I launch the default email program.
However, an URL within the text launches the way I expect, only when I click on the url itself.

Hi Keith,
Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think that there's any setting to make e-mail addresses behave like URLs.
However, I don't seem to have the problem you have : I have to double click on e-mail addresses for IQ to launch the default e-mail program.
I wonder what's happening in your case.

would this difference have any relevance to the open grid option setting, i.e. single or dbl click?

Yes, you're right, it must be one of those. But I haven't been able to find it.

In field>>Properties, you can uncheck Hyperlink. Then, it should still launch on a dbl-click
