Option to disable the floating red close button?

Would it be possible to add an option to disable the floating red close button that appears when one hovers their mouse over a tab?

I have made my tabs as small as possible, and there is now a greater risk that I will accidentally click the floating red close button when I attempt to click on a tab with the intent of viewing the tab.

Thanks for considering this suggestion.

auto-hidden pane header bar - always on top?

Should the header bar for an auto-hidden (collapsed, rolled-up) be always on top?  If I have both the Properties Pane and Doc Pane set to auto-hide, but then unhide the Doc Pane, the Properties Pane header bar is no longer visible if it is "under" the unhidden Doc Pane.  Seems like the Properties Pane header bar should always be visible so it can be moved, etc.

Dark mode: Please use a slightly off-white as the default text color

I think currently IQ uses 100% white? Here is a recommendation from this guide:

Use “On” colors for text

“On” colors are colors that appear “on” top of components and key surfaces. They are typically used for text.

The default “on” colors for a dark theme is pure white (#FFFFFF). But #FFFFFF is a bright color and it would visually “vibrate” against dark backgrounds. That’s why Google Material design recommends using a slightly darker white:

Locking tab positions

Tabs should maintain their positions until manually moved, but they don't.  They periodically move on their own, often 1-3 positions.

I know I posted on this a few years ago and Pierre said he would look into it.  I can't remember seeing a follow up and can't find the original thread.

This might be one of those grid things outside of Pierre's control.

reciprocal fields

Just getting started with Related Items.  Just as an example, I have a grid listing my flash memory cards, and other grids showing lists of devices in which the cards can be installed.  In my grid of flash memory cards, I'd like to be able to see the device in which each card is installed; and in my grids containing lists of devices, I'd like to be able to see the flash memory card it has installed.  Ideally, the Flash Memory Cards grid would have an "Installed In" column, and the Device Grids would have an "Installed Memory Card" column, but it would be reciprocal, e.g.

"Current Column Set" form

Working in a grid on a laptop, wanting to make sure that I have appropriate data entered in the columns in the current column set.  But I've got the columns resized too narrowly, can't see the column label.  At this point I think it would be really handy to have all the current columns.in a form.  I found that I can right-click the Grid tab > Manage Forms, which takes me the current grid in the Manage Forms dialog.  I can right-click that grid in the list and then Save Columns as Form.  Seems like it might be a good idea to have "Current Column Set" as a selectable form in the Properties

Collapsing outline

Example:

1) I have a long outline with different sections expanded to different levels.

2) I want to select a section of the outline and collapse it to one level, while leaving the rest of the outline unaffected.

3) Select items>ctrl-left arrow

4) This collapses only the first or last item in the selected list.  Remaining items remain expanded.

Shouldn't this method work for expanding/collapsing sections of an outline?

open non-IQ opml files by default?

I know we can import OPML files into Infoqube into an existing IQ database, and that's great, but you might consider enabling IQ to become a default viewer/editor for OPML files.  Right now there doesn't seem to be a good modern app for this purpose -
