Hi IQ Users,

In this release (v0.9.91):
  • New: Item Home: Replaces ItemHomeGrid and is automatically assigned, to the view where the item was created.
Shown in the Item Properties section of the Properties Pane. Now you always know where an item was created. (see Item Home for details)
  • New: Add Item dialog: Paste as context menu
  • New: EmailToIQ settings dialog: Checkbox to set the Username equal to the Email Address (often the case for web mail servers)
  • New: EmailToIQ: Use ## to mark the start of the fields
  • New: EmailToIQ: # flags that could not be processed (non-existent fields for example) are added to the item text so users are aware of the problem
  • Change: EmailToIQ: Fields in Tools > Options > 2.3.3 are always set. Before these were set only if no # flags was found in the email subject line
  • Change: Favorites: Right-click on the command to remove the item from Favorites
  • Change: Comma is no longer allowed in field names
  • Fixed: Grid: Sorting by clicking on the column header sometimes required many clicks to sort
[Edit] Version was updated to v0.9.91c with this additional fix:
  • Fixed: Grid: Event loop could cause high CPU usage
  • Fixed: XML copy / paste was broken in v91a
  • Change: Pop-up editor was non-modal (to allow use of the formatting toolbar). It is back to being modal (as it should be) but with a mini-toolbar showing when some text is selected.
  • Fixed: Grid: Join items failed if "Delete Merged Items" is checked (see "Join Items" fails when "Delete Merged Items" box is checked)
[/Edit]

Thanks Pierre
will test the email changes -- seems to be working well though once I avoided the # symbol (I'm old fashioned, still use it as a number sign)

Thanks!
(And happy New Year to everyone!)

Just downloaded and installed 91 but had to revert to 89b (also tried 90a when it got out, but experience exactly the  same problems described below).

1- Here all panes or grids in panes on autohide open extremely slowly (properties/HTML panes included). For some reason, they slide in bit by bit, and it takes for ever. Before they they didn't slide in like that.

2- As soon as the focus is on an item, one CPU core goes to 100%, making anything impossible.

3- After closing IQ (happened twice), the process remained there, running at 100% of its CPU core and I had to end it manually. The third time, I waited, and the process eventually closed by itself.

Strangely, I seem to be the only one affected... even if 90a has been out for a while. Wonder why.

V.89 runs fine (albeit with focus problems and some sluggishness probably due to way grids concurrently refresh when some items are changed in one)

(I tried Shutting down antiviruses, rebooting, etc. so it doesn't seem related to anything else. Reinstalled 89 and I'm back to a functioning IQ.)

I did add animation to panes in v90, so that must be it... however, even on my 13 year old notebook PC, running a single-core pentium M processor, panes open smoothly, so I'm puzzled.

I'll add an option to turn off pane animation

Thanks Pierre!

Pierre,
a comparison of 91 & 91a folders says the only change is the addition of a PPL folder in the User directory.
( I dont think that can be correct ? )

My mistake for the inclusion of the Users\PPL folder
But the version of Infoqube.exe should be different (as seen on Help > About)

should be different, but as I said, is not different !

EDIT//
what others are calling 91a appears to be what I also have: IQ Version: 0.9.91 build 2017-01-06 16:37:52
(91a is listed on download page as 2017-01-07 17:00)

91a generaly works fine  but I often experience problems with pasting : only the first letter of the string ill get pasted. Don't know why.

I will
1- copy something (could be some item, XML)
2- select some cell
3- paste
4- only "<" will get pasted

Maybe does it have to do with the changes to the way IQ pastes stuff in the  add item dialog..?

Many thanks!

I read the ItemHome documentation Pierre.  Very cool.

I had been experiencing this problem and can confirm that it is solved by 0.9.91B. Many thanks.
