there is a form used to ease the creation of a review under "Book Reivew" :
---qte---
Optional: To ease the creation of a review, you can create a form:

--- unqte ---

I am doing the similar thing in my database, I suppose when you add a new item in the grid with this 'form' as colomn sets... then the new item's 'item' field will become " Review".

But my test failed.

Do I have a wrong understanding ?

Hi Sean,

No, using a column set does not change the grid behavior, it just changes the column set. To do what you want, select 1 or more items and click the Apply form icon (3rd one from the left on the Review form in the Properties pane

HTH !

I think the misunderstanding was thinking that a new item or sub-item created using the icons on the form toolbar -- thinking that these would have the relevant fields filled.
At least I thought that when I had a look. (I dont use forms much in this way.)

Is there a reason for not filling the relevant fields for new items created in this manner ?

I know it was that way a while back... not sure why it was changed, but I also find it confusing, so in v99, using the Form's Add item / sub-item automatically applies to form. You can use Edit > Undo to clear the values automatically added
