I've been using icons to flag items only to find that InfoQube sorts by the icon html code.  Wasn't expecting that and don't want that.  I guess I'll have to use a separate column for the icons.

Not sure why it sorts on icon html code but doesn't sort on formating html code (eg <b>).

Conversely, I WOULD like it to recognize the html code for filtering but it doesn't.

Bonus suggestion:  In my file manager, once you enter edit mode, you stay in edit mode when you move to a new item using the arrow key.  Very handy for when you need to edit a string of items in succession.  I miss this feature when I'm editing in InfoQube and would like to see it considered for addition.

Update:  Really don't understand what's going on because some of the icons did NOT sort to the top but remained properly sorted by the first letter after the icon.  No idea why some items with leading icons sorted correctly and some didn't.

Hi Wayne,

re Icons affecting sort: Checkout 5. Sorting and Grouping Items

The Source Item Sort can also be used to sort items. In many situations, it will have the same result as using the Sort Bar. But there are times when the two will differ, which can be very useful. Specifically:
  1. The Source Item Sort is done at the database level (as its name implies)
  2. If sorting by a text field, such as the item text, embedded HTML code are part of the sorting (so items starting with bold text will appear first, due to the <b> tag)

re Filtering: Similarly, if you want to filter on HTML code, use Source filter edit box: Source Filter Editbox
