I tried to create a new Markdown file and InfoQube does not allow me to. According to the documentation:
 
To create a new Markdown:
  • Menu > File > New > New Markdown file
 
Instead I get
         Menu>File>New>New Blank IQBase or New IQBase (with Sample Data
 
 
Also is there a way to format my data in the HTML editor as Markdown. Or, is there an editor for using Markdown to format my notes.

First a warm welcome on my behalf from the IQ Community !
 
There are 2 sets of menus, one for the main UI and one for the HTML pane:
 
 
So to create a new markdown document, which is hosted in the HTML pane, use the HTML pane menu.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I now see what you mean in the HTML Editor menu. I believe that will work exactly for what I need.
