While we are on the subject of the HTML pane soon to be the Doc Pane. I have not found away to have the HTML code when it is in view in the pane to wrap to the width of the pane. It would be very help if it did however. This would provide both the beginning of the code and the end of the html code as well as everything in between.

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

The HTML pane transition to the Document pane has begun: 4. Document Pane

Regarding its code editor, not all code editors support word-wrap and the component I use does not support it.
It is quite buggy though, so as I search for an alternative, I'll take into account the possibility for word-wrapping.

 Pierre,
Thanks, because it would be helpful to have word-wrap.

John,

You might want to try cutting and pasting the IQ documents into a dedicated HTML Editor. I use the free version of BlueGriffon which has worked flawlessly going both ways with IQ. BlueGriffon allows you switch between WYSIWYG and Source views and even sports a Dual View capability which syncs the Code Editor to visually selected WYSIWIG elements. It's fast, light-weight, pretty comprehensive and quite easy to use. It also has an extensive Properties Pane that can be a bit daunting but works great once you figure it out (start with the ALL PROPERTIES section). BlueGriffon is free for both personal and company use but a User Manual will cost you around $10 (not really needed if you're comfortable with HTML basics).

I use the Nimbus Clipper browser extension for most of my Web captures (its Fragment selection capability is exceptional) and paste the results directly into BlueGriffon for general clean up and resizing of Images. From there it's a simple cut & paste into IQ with excellent results even for complicated tables and what-not.

It is virtually impossible for any one software to "do it all"; the key is to find some complementary utilities deal with the weaknesses.

Hope these suggestions help.
