Relatively new portable install (115d); newish file -- three days old:
 
I changed the highlighting for the even lines in the grid. After this, when I go to edit a field, it goes dark blue -- I'm unable to read anything.
Pretty sure I didnt change any other setting today (most, maybe all other settings are default).
 
 
 
Problem disappears when I turn off the WYSIWYG editor.
FWIW I'm pretty sure I didnt even turn the WYSIWYG on -- it's not on by default in a new blank file and I'm just writing plain text. New blank file has the problem after I turn on WYSIWYG editor.
(Its possible changing the colour had nothing to do with it.)

Did some tests, this easily reproducible -- to reproduce:
  1. Clean portable install
  2. Create new blank file
  3. Turn on WYSIWYG editor for grid items (via column header context menu)
  4. In options, change 1.2.4 (even line back colour) to one of the system colours (I didnt try them all -- 'menu bar' and 'active title bar' worked
  5. Now go to edit an item => dark blue background, text not visible
Possibly related bug #2: pasting or manually typing a colour (hex? e.g. &H8000000F&) in options 1.2.4 does not take and results in a completely different colour being applied

Good catch Tom !
 
In v115f:
  • Fixed: Grid: WYSIWYG editor: background color was not set correctly if the grid selection color was set to a Windows system color
