Hi IQ Users,,

2020 has been a year like none we've gone through before. I hope you all managed to survive and stay healthy !!

Being confined and / or otherwise not allowed to travel much, has provided me with lots of time to improve InfoQube.

I hope it shows, and that users are satisfied with what it brings to the information management table.

As a last minute "gift" to my loyal users, here is an unadvertised surprise feature: 4. Synchronization with Evernote

You can now:

1- View / edit selected IQ content on your phone and other mobile devices
2- Arrange your Evernote notes in a hierarchy inside IQ
3- Add an unlimited number of meta-data to your Evernote notes, to sort / filter / group, etc
4- Batch move Evernote notes to / from the Trash
5- Share IQ content publicly or with specific users (using EN share)*
6- Store sensitive content in local notebooks—i.e. no cloud (a truly useful feature but no longer available through Evernote)

Available as of IQ v117 which should be in stores just in time for Christmas

What Christmas gift. Outstanding!

Cheers,
Carlos

thanks Pierre!  I look forward to giving it a spin!

Hi Pierre and fellow InfoQubers,

Merry Christmas to you all! May you be safe and healthy, and may 2021 bring us better days.

This has been the year in which I climbed the IQ learning curve and I am so glad that I did. I love the flexibility of InfoQube, and I use it in many ways: drafting articles, managing my marketing calendar, saving my web clips, and building my CRM. I'm sure there will be even more uses for IQ over time.

I am indeed very happy with the improvements that have been added this year! No bug goes unsquashed, the interface keeps getting better, and the new features for relating items are great. And now we have Evernote sync - wow! Being able to access IQ data on my phone is a great bonus. I'm a premium Evernote user, so I'm looking forward to being able to manage my EN data via InfoQube.

Pierre, thank you so much for all you work this year!

All the best,
Cyganet

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive and gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced with the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice, but with respect for the religious / secular persuasions and / or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset by the generally accepted calendar of the year of 2021, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, sexual preference and / or orientation of the wishee.

LOL !
Very funny Paul...

I'm more of the thinking that the best way to respect others is not to remove / hide cultural / religious differences, but rather to promote all.

By expressing our own beliefs, we will most likely find out how similar we are

I think if you read it correctly it is acknowledging everyone's right to do it their way.

Hola Pierre and the InfoQube team. Thanks a lot for the amazing work you have been doing. Best wishes from Asuncion Paraguay.

Merry Christmas to everyone.  Thank you all (and especially Pierre) for the development of InfoQube and the help offered on these forums

Hmmm...

Will "best wishes, especially to Pierre" do as a summary?

Merry Christmas Pierre! Every release and pre-release is a gift all year long, and this surprise gift will be fun to play with.
Keith

Thanks everyone for your best wishes.

v117Pre1 is now online !!
Evernote sync works like a charm for text only notes: rich text with checkboxes and checklists, but avoid all other content for now
(no images, no sound, no ink)

Great !

Lots of work still required to complete this project, but it is a good start.

I long wanted to get this sync working but always pushed it back.
My recent transition to documenting my life/work in Daily Notes in IQ (inspired by Roam et al), made it essential to have mobile access... Using Evernote was the best (only ?) option.

But I assume it's just fine to sync notes that have those things, those items just won't sync, correct? Because I synced a few articles from Evernote as a test and they synced perfectly except for the images, which most of the time add nothing to the article anyhow.

BTW one of the awesome things about this is Evernote has an incredible web clipper extension that works in all major browsers and gives you all types of options from automatically cleaning up an article for clipping, to grabbing a screenshot. So EN can be used as an intermediary to get things into IQ both exactly the way you want them, but also from mobile devices and operating systems.

Hi David,

Yes, it is OK to sync notes with images (from EN to IQ).
But none of this has been tested, in particular, if such a note text content is updated in IQ, will the sync back to EN be accepted and will it show the image...
I'll look at this scenario in v117Pre3

Late to the party. Best wishes to Pierre and all the other charming and savvy people on this forum!

Also, it was great to see IQ make so much headway since I jumped on the bandwagon just over two years ago, and especially so this year.

I may just have to set up EverNote to see what all the hype is about....

For most users the free version of evernote will be enough. However for users that want to share a large amount of data (more than 1 GB a month) with EN, or run EN on more than 2 devices, you may wish to take advantage of the current EN sale of 40% off annually. You may need to do a Google search to find the landing page for that offer.

If you do so make sure and end Pierre a donation too .

Good idea David !

This page seems to work for now (valid till Feb 4th 2021)
Comes out to just $54 for the first year. Pretty cheap, even if you factor in a donation to your favorite software developer

Last day to purchase EN Premium at 40% off (first year)

The new "Home" feature is quite useful and should inspire improvements to IQ's own Home Page

It is a steal !!!

Is a very good deal (€36 here which converts to around US$43)

I'm still unsure myself -- I've only started using it recently due to the IQ sync ability. I very quickly ran into the only syncs with two devices limitation (browser login being one of those). The other premium advantages dont really interest me as I mainly using it for text notes, or text clippings. So the idea it will cost €60 next year is fairly offputting.
