Hi, everyone! It's my first post, so be gentle. :-)

I would like to be able to zoom the view of text in grids, so I don't have to change the font size to adjust for the very large size & resolution difference between my netbook and my stationary computer. Is this possible? I've tried to find this function but couldn't.

Cheers
Magnus

The grid does not have a zoom feature, however, it is easy to change the default grid font (Tools > Options > Program > Grids > Grid font) and this setting is per computer, so you'll be able to have different fonts for each (just make sure that the grid does not have a font specified, as it has priority)

The HTML pane does not yet have a zoom feature, but if IE7 and up is installed, it is feasible. First one to ask gets it!

me too :-)

with IE7

It isn't quite zoom in/out for the grid, but I've added buttons to increase/decrease the grid font size.

Keep in mind from Embedded Formatting:

In InfoQube, outline formatting is structured as a hierarchy. In increasing order of precedence, these are:

  1. Overall default font: set in Tools>Options>General>View: Grid font and Grid font size settings
  2. Grid specific font: set in Grid>Properties>Options: Default Font
  3. Item font: Applies to the whole item or to specific columns, as defined in Grid>Properties>Options: Item Font applies to field
  4. In-cell format: Applied to text selections inside cells only
  5. Conditional formats are discussed here: Item Formatting

So this zoom in/out feature is at level 2. Levels 3,4,5 have precedence!

sounds great - does the precedence thing mean it wont have any effect at all if 3,4 or 5  have been applied?

Ideal would be if it got temporary precedence, and on refresh then: 3, 4 & 5 would 'take over' again but maybe that's not technically possible

Thank you very much for acting so quickly! I run IQ from a USB-stick so this feature helps a lot.

I've just started to find uses for the HTML-pane, so I appreciate the zoom for that too.

Thanks for making such a great software!

I very much like the way this works - it's remembered on reopening grid which I like too

Sometimes though I'd like to remove zoom (thinking in FF terms: Ctrl+0 gives you 100% page size - i.e. no zoom) -
I wonder would this also be possible in IQ ?
