When grid is on auto-update mode (in manage grids -> view) the first few characters entered in a cell can disappear. (M)

We discussed this in the past. I don't think it was ever added to Mantis or even here. This only happen when : 1- item is created 2- user starts typing fast and right after item creation. Here I loose 3-4 first characters: they're typed, then cursor moves back to the left, and caracters are erased. (I'm surprised nobody ever encountered this bug. I don't use auto-update, so it took me a while to notice it. Only on newish grid where the option is turned on by default did I notice it.)

Sorting problems

Hello all,

Using 0.9.25I Build 12/9/2010 on XP SP3:

I'm in the midst of some work and cannot provide a thorough report at the moment, but basically I'm having sorting problems. Although I can easily sort by item, I cannot sort by other columns, whether by clicking on column heading, using sort box, or (the other sort box -- can't remember the proper terminology for the two sorting methods).

I have tried closing and reopening. Nothing happens when I try to sort. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

UPDATE: I created a new grid to sort the items I want to sort, and the new grid works fine. The one I can't sort in is my Inbox.

unhoisting to the previous state

When I display the search result in the current grid as hoisted, and then turn the hoist off, it doesn't get me back to the latest grid state, but actually it took me to the grid with all items closed. Is there anyway to go back to the latest grid state. When you use that feature a lot as I do, this is annoying. I'm using version 25C
Thanks

Properties pane : right click on a field, select Field properties : Field management dialog appears but "Item" field has focus

As described in the Subject. Focus in the field management dialog used to be on the field which was right-clicked. Unless I'm mistaken... ? (minor)

forum membership

I was revisiting the Zoot forum the other day & noticed they have +/- 1400 members while this forum has only 178. What does this mean for the future of IQ -- if anything?

Zoot & IQ have a lot of superficial similarities: (1) both data miners (2) both have solitary programmers (3) both have been around a long time (4) both are quirky products.

Hmmmm

Frequent IQ crashes when clicking in the properties pane.

Stability is better than 2 weeks ago, however, I often crash IQ by just clicking in the properties pane. usually happens when : - Am working in a grid and properties pane is on auto-hide mode - I press F4, and click on a properties pane section header, sometimes I'll hit the "home" key. - IQ freezes, and then crashes. In any case, i don't think it's what I do specifically, but something else is going on -- I get the weird Properties pane display at least once a day. Usually when I restart IQ after a crash. I always forget to screen cast it. Next time, I will.
