I'm trying to add a few new fields in the Manage Fields dialog.

1.  Clicked the New button.

2.  Typed a field name in the Name text box in the upper right corner of the dialog.

3.  Selected Text as the field type.

4.  Clicked the Save button.

Nothing appeared in the field list, until I clicked in the field list.  Then the fields I tried to add finally appeared in the list - twice as shown below.  Should the field appear in the list immediately on clicking the save button (or before), and only once, without needing to click on the list?

I just noticed the F1 link in the lower right hand corner of the Find and Replace dialog and clicked it, and the Help page about Find and Replace opened in my browser.  That's great!  Is that implemented throughout IQ?

When I have an item focused and then Show All Subitems (either from Item menu or context menu) to show subitems that don't meet the source bar filter, only the first-level subitems are then displayed.  The first-level subitems can't be expanded to show the lower level subitems that don't meet the filter.  Instead, I have to focus each first-level subitem and select Show All Items again to show the next level of subitems that don't meet the filter.  Is this the way it's supposed to work?  I was thinking that Show All Subitems would show all the levels of subitems under the focused item; or a

Is having an undo that works for deleted items something that's on the list to do?  Would it be possible to have a recycle bin where permanently deleted items are held for a second, final deletion, like in Windows?

David_H posted a description of his system which was, I think, based on group-by sorting rather than conventional outlining.

Does someone have a link to that thread?

When I copy-special an item and paste it in a different file, I used to get two dialogue screens before the item would paste. 

Suddenly, the second screen stopped showing up and the item now pastes immediately after the first screen ("Create new items and put them in this grid").

I can't remember what the 2nd screen was, and everything is working ok, as far as I can tell.

Does anyone still get the second dialogue screen?  What am I "missing"?  Can't figure out why the dialogue procedure would change when I'm doing nothing different (I don't think!).

Can someone confirm that there's no way to import or combine InfoQube databases?

I just want to make sure I'm not missing any new developments on this.  Couldn't find anything in the user manual or forum (even though I think it's been discussed).

I'm looking at combining multiple files. Doing it by manual copy/paste is going to be a chore (I've done it before).

I recently discovered Microsofts new cloud fonts that come with display-optimized variants. Of those, I particularly like Tenorite display for the calendar as it is a good deal narrower than Segoe UI variable display, which I continue to use in all grids, thanks to Pierre's recommendation.

Less pertinent to IQ, I love Google's Nina font for when I want to get a lot of text onto a page while keeping it pleasurably readable. I've found no others that compare.

1) Start typing text in item cell.

2) Hit "Esc".

3) All typed text is erased and cannot be recovered with "undo".

I don't think it's supposed to do that, is it? 

It doesn't happen every time but I've had to retype text quite a few times.  I don't know why, but somewhere along the line I got in the habit of hitting Esc to exit editing.

I created the notes grid. What ever data I add to it vanishes when I 1) his refresh 2) exit out of iq and go back in

I cannot get data records to remain in the grid.
