I'd like to get a SUM total on each of these values. I tried using the Parent and = SUM as well as the pivot table.
When I try the pivot table it tells me I need to install office etc. I have office 365 installed and all modules.
Thanks
See attached. I get a connect failed on this. Help.
Brilliant application. I've tried them all, approx 6 or 7 information managers and databases. This one beats them all. Wonderful.
I have an IQbase which I sync from my desktop to my laptop (via Dropbox) and vice versa (when traveling), and it uses my Outlook.com email address and password for Email to IQ functionality.
Strangely, though, when I sync the IQbase to my laptop, I have to reenter the email password; otherwise the Email to IQ functionality doesn't work. (I.e. when I try to check for emails I get an error message). Then, after syncing the iQ base back to my desktop, the same thing happens, and once again i have to re-enter the email password to make this functionality work.
I just discovered the View > History > Back and Forward commands and I'd like to understand what they do and don't do. Last night I used the Back key (Ctrl+Shift+left) repeatedly to see what it does, along with the Forward key (Ctrl+Shift+right)
So far I can see that they move the focus from item to item within the same open grid. Also they can change the current grid and focus on an item in the previously / subsequently viewed grid. Will these commands reopen a closed grid?
I'm trying to make some changes to how the Document Pane is formatted, and finding no matter how much I change default.css, it has no effect. Any other style sheet I try, e.g. bubblegum, gray etc, I can make changes and see them reflected in the document, at least after I've reselected the style sheet.
I have default.css specified in Options as my default style sheet.
Not sure if this is a bug as this is not an area I'm familiar with.
hi,
I've been using the Floating Editor (ctrl-E) more recently, I find it handy when I want to have occasional access to the Document Pane for an item, but keep an overall view of the Grid. But there are some things it lacks compared to the Document Pane. E.g. text formatting. You can't independently set a format without selecting the text first. That is, I can't just press ctrl-i and have the next thing I type be italic, I have to type it first, then select it, then press ctrl-i.
"Tags cannot set field values but fields can set tags" - http://infoqubeim.com/drupal5/index.php/node/4328
Could tags be somehow enabled to set field:value assignments? In that way we could have the advantages both of tags (e.g. inheritance) and fields (e.g. the ability to sort a grid by the values in a field).
Somehow I had the idea that if you had a URL in the URL field, double-clicking the item (specifically the Item field) would take you to to that URL. But when I do so, the Item field is activated for editing, and the URL is not loaded in the browser. Do I need to click an actual (blue-underined) hyperlink in a field?
I was going to post this as a bug, but it only seems to affect one of my databases, so there's maybe something database-specific going on... In this one database, any text you enter in the Notes field vanishes, if you press F5.
Is Notes just a regular text field? It looks like it is, but it is one of the built-in fields, and it seems "different" in that you can't check on what items have values for it, as you can for other fields. Also, you can't use it as a source for a grid.
