I use the "Copy selected email to IQ" button in Thunderbird to save emails. I hardly ever look at them in IQ - but I noticed lately that when one mail is selected & copied to IQ, the pop-up messages says two email saved to IQ.

  • You can see from the item created date that there are two copies of each mail.
  • One is marked as having been sent an hour later than the actual send time.

I notice now that if I forward an email I get this (date/time sent) in the header -
Date: Mon, 28 Nov 2011 15:45:23 +0100
the 15:45:23 is correct in this example but I dont know what the +0100 means - Any ideas there?

Maybe it's a bug with Thunderbird?
FWIW my timezone is GMT+1

YES !!

Tom, you must be using TB v8.0 as I am.

Maybe the IQ extension needs updating because it is doing its thing, i.e. copying the msg -- but, as you point out - in duplicate.
In addition, If I open HTML, I get strange dialogue asking if I want to open or save?
Check this out on your machine. Does that happen to you, too?

My OS here is W7 Home Premium
IQ 9.25w3
TB v8

I'll look into this issue in priority and issue an update ASAP. If it can be reproduced in the sample database and steps given here, it would be a great help !

Hi Pierre & Jan:
is this the same - reported here - Emails dont show in html pane & try to "download" - it's only with email though that I had this problem - I thought the prob was with IE but it could be with Tbird...

Rereading that thread, I'm not sure what my workaround was - now my email open directly (from IQ) in a Thunderbird "frame"/window. I think I just told the IE dialogue to always open in Thunderbird

Shot of email in grid / html pane / email displayed in Tbird pane:

I'm still getting what you've posted @ www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php.

Tom, since you've been able to reproduce this in a blank dB, maybe you can send it to Pierre who reports that he can't reproduce eml not viewed in HTML pane.
What's odd is that IQ reports it has HTML data in the pane & creates a link but.....

w4 has fixed the duplication email issue.

I presume you still have this problem Jan?
Odd that I only have the problem with emails

Pierre, I'll see how this works (or doesnt) in the sample database & will report back.

Tom: I still have the duplicate email problem.  I think Mozilla did something in TB v5 that screwed up the extension.
The dialog I uploaded appears when I open a link to an older file, document or email. VERY confusing. I'm beginning to think all my links are screwed up but I don't have the heart to check it out for fear of falling into a real FUNK.

I updated the other thread where I reported the problem - I can reproduce the email not displaying in the html pane  problem in a sample database.

What filetypes do you have problems with Jan - I have no problems with PDF files and I dont have any other filetypes saved to the html pane (apart from clipped html/mht & text - no problems there either).

Tom,

I think it's not file type dependent. I think it may be a linkage problem as it doesn't seem to make any difference. Not much help, I know.
Also I don't believe I get pdf files in HTML pane or doc files even when things seemed to be working better but I'll go back & check & update this post later.

I CONSISTENTLY get 2 copies of any email copied via IQ extension
The item is ok but the HTML content is not correct on either copy
In addition
a dialog appears asking whether to open or save the file as though it was a download

Thunderbird v8
IQ 9.25w3
w7 Home Premium

FYI >> copying email content via <CTRL>A + <WIN>C works fine

I use this function all the time so this is quite troublesome for me so I hope Pierre can devote some time soon to solving this problem.

Thank you.

The duplicate email import issue is fixed in v0.9.25W4.

I was not able to reproduce the other issue (email not visible in HTML pane) however...

FYI: It's a change that was made to support multiple IQ instances which caused this issue...
