Hi Pierre,

I'm inquiring about this as I use the calendar daily for many different tasks -- some w some workarounds -- and was wondering how it is coming, when we might expect it, etc.

Bumped 16/03/10
Pierre, maybe not fair of me but I'm getting really frustrated. Google calendar is so easy & useful that I find myself going to it all the time.
This syncs perfectly with Palm Pre calendar & I'm sure Android as well.
However I am out of sync w my daily life, i.e. IQ.
Can you update me/us on calendar status. As Armando sometimes states, this is VERY IMPORTANT  to me.
Thank you very much.

Jan

Jan, glad to know you are a calendar expert, I may need your help once I start working more with it!

Thinking ahead, it might it also be good public relations to have a quick update every week or two to -- link to nonexistent node ID 243 --, especially when the forum is quiet.  Wouldn't that give a good
impression to prospective new users perusing the forum?
That's a great idea, KeithB. Sometimes I think public relations is half the battle for projects like IQ. It certainly adds to a sense of confidence: is it realware vs vaporware? While those of us who are acquainted w Pierre are also acquainted w his commitment, it won't be apparent to the casual passerby. Jan

Google Calendar sync is definitely planned... but does require quite a bit of work to make it work well (2-way sync), so I can't promise any date.
As Armando sometimes states, this is VERY IMPORTANT  to me.
Tom made an allusion to that "important" qualifier too. I don't know if there's any irony involved and it doesn't really matter... unless you felt offended, as if I was trying to get some kind of "special treatment" and "overpass"-"overpower" all users.

So if my usage of the "important" tag has been misunderstood or found to be offending, here are a few words of explanation :  I tried to "tag" stuff as "important" only when "data corruptions/ unwanted data modifications" seemed to be involved. (i.e. : they're  "important" in that they can screw up many items in a DB if a user is not careful, or generate all kinds of mistakes  -- you know, when it ruins your day because 100s of items are affected.)

I think that all problems affecting(modifying, corrupting) data should be considered urgent/important.

Thanks.

Thanks for this explanation Armando, but I certainly do not perceive you as wanting special treatment and, if I can't really speak for him, I doubt Jan had this in the back of his mind when he wrote "VERY IMPORTANT".

Thanks for the feedback!
I just thought I'd clarify things a bit to avoid misunderstanding.

Armando, I thought is was a good approach - that's why I copied it
I said it about something  (I'm embarrased to say: I cant think offhand exactly what it was **) anyways, I believe I used it in the context of something that was very much negatively affecting my daily use of IQ.
Jan seems to be using it in the same vein

Also, I would agree absolutely with what you say re data corruption / modification / loss (that would be real priority)
> I think that all problems affecting(modifying, corrupting) data should be considered urgent/important.

** I remembered :-)
Wrong (sub)-item being moved if a sibling is selected - not data loss or corruption - but it has involved me sending incorrect lists to those I'm currently working for (not creating a good impression...)
