I have a Tag #Status with several children including #Do and #Done.
I have a Grid with Source #Do and a column #Status.

Some items have assigned #Do and some items have assigned #Do and #Done (and other children).
I want to exclude/hide items which have the #Done Tag.

In the Source Filter, I enter "#Done is null".
However, then all items are excluded...

What am I doing wrong?

Is it possible to open the same grid in a tab in both a left vertical tab group and a right vertical tab group?

With a grid open in a tab in the right vertical tab group, I tried to open the same grid in a tab in the left vertical tab group.  This simply activated the tab containing that grid in the right vertical tab group.

My idea was to make it easier to move items to different parents in the same grid, by dragging items to new parents in the other instance of the grid, to eliminate the back and forth scrolling required when reorganizing an outline in a single tab.

IQ has crashed a few times* and I keep loosing my Grid/Panes layout. I have backed up the *sndb file, but restoring it didn't help.
Where are the Grid/Panes layout saved? Are they maybe saved in the *.ini file?

I would like to have full backups going forward. In addition to the *.sndb & *.ini files and the *.Files folder, is there anything else that I need to backup?

I am grouping my items by one column ("Type"), and would like to sort the items within the groups based on another column ("ItemCreated"). Is this possible?

According to the manual here https://www.infoqubeim.com/drupal5/node/864, this does not seem to be possible?:

1. None (Manual)
2. Sort Bar
3. Source Items Sort
4. Group-By Bar

1) Item is assigned to the grid source field.  Display mode is set to outline.

2) Item is also assigned as a subitem in the same grid.

3) Item displays correctly in its subitem position but will not display at the top level of the outline.

Could someone explain this? 

I reread the Display Mode section of the manual and did not see an explanation.

I want to add a child Tag in the Tag Pane, but w/o selecting an item in a Grid.
In this case the Tag list in the Pane is grayed out, and it is difficult to know which Tag I have selected.

I can still create a child, it is just difficult to know where it will be created since there in no feedback of which Tag is currently selected.

When moving around in a large outline it would be useful to have a way to step back to the previous position. Is there a way to do that?

...or maybe there is a history command that keeps a record of where the cursor has been.  That would be very helpful.

I group by the Tag "Type_B" in Grid2, but the Tag children are not always displayed next to "Type_B" as shown below. I need to refresh the grid to see the children.

I have worked the whole day with Tags on my database and have managed to mess it up :-(. I think that I may need to go back to an old backup (I assume that I would just rename SNBKM to SNDB?)

Part of it the corruption may be because of my incomplete understanding. Please answer my questions, even if they are Trivial and explained in the manual..
Consider this simple example of Tag hierarchy

By Default, new items are added to the Inbox Grid (with Source = Inbox field) when the "New Item to IQBase" window is used.

If I look at the Inbox field in the window, it is not automatically checked. However, after clicking on OK, the field is automatically checked and the new item is therefore shown in the Inbox Grid.

Now, I wanted to use an "Inbox" Tag instead of the  "Inbox" field as a source for the "Inbox Grid", but that doesn't work. After clicking on OK, the  "Inbox" Tag is not checked and the item therefore doesn't show in the Grid.
