Executing related equations in order?

I have a Yes/No field "ToDo" and a date field "Date".
When I check the ToDo box I want to set the Date to Today and then uncheck the ToDo box.

I tried these equations:
1. For ToDo:  A: Date=Now
2. For Date:  A: ToDo=

However, only the first equation is executed; checking ToDo sets the Date, but the ToDo box is subsequently not unchecked.

I think that I read in the Doc that it is not possible the way I tried it..?? Is there a workaround?

Journal & lost items

I need some pointers on finding lost items.  I couldn't find the topic that covers this in the manual.

Just had several items disappear from a grid.  Have spent over an hour trying to find them with no luck.

1) Tried to open Journal to find them but there are too many items (44,000+).  Tried to load full set anyway but InfoQube froze and I had to close the file

2) Tried loading first 5,000 in Journal.  Was expecting to see the last 5,000 created but instead got dates from all over the place.  Why not have a date filter there so you can control what's loaded?

Can I make an item a subitem of a contact (item) in the addressbook using a script?

I have items in a grid, e.g. ToDo,  that I want to quickly make subitems of contacts (items) in the addressbook.
I created a new text field, contacts, with a list of pop-up items using the items in the addressbook.
I can now select the contacts from the addressbook in the Contacts field.

However, that does of course not make the items subitems of the contacts in the addressbook.

I wonder if it is possible to create a script, something like this:

If contacts = Addressbook-itemText then make ToDo-item subitem of Addressbook-item

load a grid with many thousands of items without going non-responsive?

I tried to load a grid and got the message that it has around 40k items, do I want to load only the first 1,000?

I think in this particular grid most of the 40000 items that meet the filter are subitems, and that far fewer are TLIs.  I was thinking that maybe IQ wouldn't freeze in this case, and that only the TLIs might be shown and this wouldn't make IQ go non-responsive.  So I took a chance and clicked on "Load All Items".  IQ went "not responding".  I guess IQ loads all the items meeting the filter regardless of level and IQ can't load that many.

Buffering Issue

When I open an existing InfoQube window, often I get the hourglass symbol and the window fades out for 20-30 seconds during which I can do nothing.

Happens a dozen times a day, at least, and is annoying especially when i just want to add a quick note and be done with it.

Doesn't happen every time.  Happens very occasionally with other programs but it's nearly always InfoQube.

Maybe related to Windows 10 and/or InfoQube backups?  Also maybe related to my new drives which seem to go to sleep when not in use and require time to wake up before they're accessible.

Single Click to Add a New Item & Edit at Point of Cursor

Sorry for trivial questions, but I have not found anything in the manual about this;

1. Is it possible to use single- rather than double-click to enter a new item?
2. Also, is it possible to enter edit mode by single-click and start the edit at the point of the cursor rather than at the beginning/end of the item text?
(I am just so used to this after 17 years with Ecco...)
