1. Scrollbar so I can quickly scroll through long grids

2. The indicator on the scrollbar to indicate filter status and to clear filters

Unless I am missing the options settings.

New item/clipper dialog issues

Submitted by Armando on 2018/01/29 16:03
A- In the new item/clipper dialog, the item text box VS HTML text box proportions aren't always kept

1- Invoke the add item/clipper dialog
2- make the HTML bottom part visible it if wasn't **
3- resize the main text box (item field) with alt+down/up arrows,
4- enter something and add it to the DB,
5- Reinvoke the clipper/add item dialog (Win+N) : the proportions aren't kept. Top part comes back to initial size, HTML part is now bigger.

Would it be possible to make those proportions stick?

Other aspects/small glitches to consider:
- If the "HTML" part is hidden (click on the HTML button) and then shown, the upper text box is reshrinked to its initial values.
- If the whole dialog was slightly expanded while the HTML part was hidden, and then the HTML part is shown again, it usu

Maintain WikiTags

I am adding wikitags in the new item box, and they don't seem to store  -- not available the next time I access the dropdown list.  Same result when I use the + sign on the dropdown, or manually type the new wikitag in the box.  Is there a system limit to the number of wikitags which may be used?  Is there a way to manage the list?

I see a note this or similar issue may have been cleared in release 0.9,88b, but I'm using 0.9.107 and the issue remains.

Thanks, Dan Foote

View Shift

Submitted by WayneK on 2018/01/28 01:23
Just updated to 9.107Pre4.  The following problem that was fixed previously has returned:

1) Paste text into a cell
2) View shifts to the top of the grid.(selected cell disappears at the bottom).

Also:

1) Refresh screen
2) View shifts upward (but not to top of grid)

Trying to find a work around so I don't have to revert.

Universal Links

Submitted by Paul_J_Miller on 2018/01/27 18:48
One thing which I would have expected InfoQube to be good at is linking. True it can link to files, web pages and other items within InfoQube but there is a very useful type of link which is missing.

A universal link is a link to specific content within the file of an application.  For instance Essential PIM Pro allows you to copy a link which will point to a specific e-mail in a specific database created in Essential PIM Pro.  This can be activated from another application and will not only start up Essential PIM but open the specific e-mail to which the link points.

There is a protocol which the application needs to register with the operating system when it is installed, once registered if the operating system receives a link of the correct format it will pass the link to the specified application.

As an example of what they look like a link to one of the e-mails in Essential PIM looks like :-

Graphviz

There is a program called Graphviz for graphical visualisation.  It is free and open source.

It has been integrated into several other programs.  It is useful for creating graphical networks.

It would be nice if it could be integrated into InfoQube. It could even be used to display networks of items and their connections.

Basically you write a 'source' file telling Graphviz what is connected to what else and when the program interprets this file it produces a graphical representation of the network in various formats.

I find it very useful.  It is available at www.graphviz.org/ .

selection bug (shift+page down/page up/end/home)

Submitted by Armando on 2018/01/26 12:22
This probably happened when the page down function was fixed. I'm pretty sure that this was working before, but I'm getting old.

1- Focus on an item in a grid with more items than what it can display at once.
2- Shift + Page down/Up/end/home
3- Cursor moves down/up/to the beginning/to the end of the grid but nothing is selected.

Thanks!
