It would be nice to have the item count somewhere on the pane tabs, like in the main workspace. When refreshing/filtering, I rely on that a lot.

grids in panes :

 

- Popup boxes for field edition  (autolists, shift+F2 in item field, etc.) : changes are recorded, but don't show in grid (grid isn't refreshed). A refresh (F5) fixes it.

 

- Removing items under a parents : works but it doesn't show... need to refresh the grid.

 

- When using the properties pane to edit items in a grid in a pane, the modifications are made, but the grid doesn,t always  refresh properly. Not sure when it happens, but it does.

- Grid tabs (in panes) that were loaded as hoisted grids say "hoisted" for ever, even if they'renot hoisted.

 

- When IQ starts, hoisted grids don't load properly : “Error reading data. Check the source, filter and sort criteria.”

Unhoisting and rehoisting fixes the problem, until the next close/open.

 

- Ctrl+G, column text filter dialog ("filter this grid")  : focus doesn't return to the grid in pane but presumably to the main workspace.

(other dialogs have the same problem : like the "turn column filters off?" (or something like that, when one wants to expand all subs while a column filter is on) : focus doesn't return to pane but to the main workspace.)

 

- If pane previously had the focus : focus problem when win+N to record a quick note : the dialog appears, but the focus is in the pane. (reverse focus problem...)

 

- When using the properties pane to make modifications in a grid that's in a pane, the first change is made to the selected item(s), but the focus then goes back to the main workspace and the next changes are applied there instead. careful!

 

In typical fashion for me, I tried to so something I thought would take 30 seconds but ended up bogged down in confusion about the InfoQube color system.  I thought I understood it but I guess not.

 

I wanted to change the selected item background color (Tools>Options>Grids>Selected items back color).  I'll summarize the problems I ran into.

 

#1  I don't understand the color codes I'm seeing.  InfoQube uses VB Hex, which consists of 8 numbers/letters.  The code for bright red is &h0000FF but InfoQube won't let me enter this code.  Instead it insists on showing a code consisting of 11 numbers:  &H000000FF&.  The color box next to the code shows bright red but when I return to the grid, the color is salmon, not bright red.  I tried using the selection box next to the code.  In every case, the color shown in the  box next to the code number does not match the

When I try to paste an image in an item cell, I see a flash of the image, but it doesn't get pasted.  The cell remains blank.  Before, it would create a new subitem containing the image.

 

Interestingly, when I pull up another text field and paste an image, it works perfectly

Somehow the mechanic behind the "fadeness" of the selected background color does not seem to work any more.

Example:

Open Item in New Scratch Grid -> normal background color.

Go to Calendar.

Get back to Scratch Grid -> faded background color as if the grid has lost focus.

I am working with files a lot currently.

Have this issue...very strange - nothing special about these files as far as I can tell.

File path is not too long, extension that usually works.

When pasting multiple lines, option 1 and 2 from the Paste options... dialog deliver the same result -> new item for each line.

 

EDIT: issue is still persistent in 86b.

Can the Item Font in the Calendar View be changed - increased? If not, do you know what Windows Registry Setting is controlling it?
